The disclosure relates to a flexible switch element for a track carrying rubber-tyred trains comprising two parallel rails each having an upper running surface for the tyres and an inner side surface for supporting a continuous strip (B) for guiding the train. The switch element has at least one hinge providing the longitudinal link with an adjacent switch element. The switch element also has a set of longitudinal abutments engaging, on the one hand, with the hinge in order to adjust the relative angular orientation of the element and, on the other hand, with a pivoting bottom rod providing the connection to and the alignment with an identical switch element arranged symmetrically on the opposite side of the switch. The disclosure also relates to a track switchgear comprising the assembly of such elements and a method for transporting passengers along a track provided with said track switchgear.

The transport system in accordance with the invention comprises a car for receiving passengers, a guidance system and a cable traction system. The transport system is characterized in that the guidance system is constituted of a single central rail on which roll wheels attached to the car. Thus, there is no longer any lateral wall to support the guide rail or rails, which makes it possible to limit the width of the roadway neutralized by the system. The wheels of the car may be located laterally on each side of the central rail.

Cable transport installation

A transport installation comprising at least one carrier vehicle moving longitudinally in to-and-fro manner along a single running track being guided by two guiding elements each following one of the lateral branches of the track in a crossing area. The carrier vehicle carries two independent gripping mechanisms respectively associated with the two guiding elements and each able to temporarily secure the carrier vehicle in the lateral direction to the associated guiding elements. Such gripping mechanisms constitute on-board devices for selecting the branch associated with its direction of running on entering a crossing area.

Transport equipment with a vehicle guided along a single traffic lane

A public passenger transport installation includes two end stations connected via two tracks for inbound and outbound travels. At each station, both tracks join into a common single connector track section via a switch. Each of the tracks is associated with at least two endless cables, which extend from one of the station to the other one, and more precisely from one of the connector track section to the other. The endless cables associated with one track run in parallel to one another, and are laterally offset with respect to one another by a given distance, which is constant along the track and at the stations. Vehicles provided with releasable clamps can be individually coupled to the cables. Each clamp is movable between at least four indexed lateral positions, each corresponding to one of the cables on the connector track section. Each cable can be individually driven at continuously variable speed between standstill and a cruising speed.
