Transmitting device of sequences of acoustic signals. The device comprises a transducer, a generator, a micrologic unit, a memory, a battery and a control means. The device transmits sequences that differ from one transmission to the next. The device has application to an electronic payment method by telephone.

Transmitting device of signal sequences

The device includes an acoustic transmitter (10), a tone generator (12), a memory (14) containing an identification code (N) and a service key (C), and an electronic circuit (16). A digital message transmitted depends on N and C and changes with each use. The time limitation moment of the device is determined. The device appears in the form of a token.

Electronic telephone device

A telephone service payment system having portable electronic devices (J) for transmitting a coded sequence (SQ), also involves specialized vocal host computers (SDS) and at least one affiliated computer (OA), along with a management computer (OGC). Such a telephone service payment system is used in conjunction with the placing of bets by telephone.

Telephone service payment system using a sound emitting token

Measuring instruments, such as ultra-sensitive accelerometers, are attached to a support inlcuding three pairs of electrodynamic or piezoelectric actuators. Each actuator pair is associated with one respective common axis of a reference trirectangular system. An electronic speed and phase slaver chains the actuators to induce translational and rotational accelerations in the support. Electrical signals delivered from the instruments to be calibrated are analyzed by synchronous demodulations and processed to determine sensitivity, orientation and position of the instruments in relation to the reference axes. The instrument support can be carried on-board a satellite.

Device for calibrating ultra-sensitive accelerometers

An acceleromter having a test weight movable in relation to a frame includes three pairs of mutually electrically orthogonal conducting parallel faces (1-6). Electrodes connected to the frame form capacitors with faces of the test weight. The six faces form two sets of three faces (1-3) and (4-6). The faces of a set form a first conductor insulated from the faces of the second set which form a second conductor. Position sensing voltages are applied to first and second conductors through very flexible leads (7 and 8). Position control voltages derived from the position sensing voltages are applied to the electrodes.

A device for electrostatically suspending an electrically charged body coises at least two spherical electrodes serving simultaneously for capacitive position detection and electrostatic positioning control for the body.

Device for electrostatically suspending a body or sample

A tridimensional electrostatic accelerometer comprises a cube-shaped test ight. On each of the six faces of the cube is a pair of conducting electrodes. A hollow cage accommodates the test weight and twelve electrodes on the cage to form, with the test weight electrodes, three sets of four capacitors C.sub.ij, where i varies from 1 to 4 and j is x, y and z respectively. Measurements are made for each value of j of the sums and differences of the capacities

Electrostatic accelerometer

Electrostatic triaxial accelerometer comprising a test weight movable with respect to an accelerometer body, electrically connected to said body by a highly flexible lead, electrodes fixed to said body and forming capacitors with respect to the test weight, means for detecting the test weight position by means of measurement voltages fed to said electrodes and means for positioning said test weight by electrostatic forces developed from cueing voltages applied to said electrodes, characterized in that the test weight comprises six planar plates regularly assembled such that the inside volume defined by these plates is a cube with a side smaller in length than the plates.

Electrostatic-suspension accelerometers

A charging process for selling information via a telephone network. A data bank can be connected via said network with calling subscribers. This data bank has a telephone number and a device for supplying a spoken message. The data bank supplies its message to any calling subscriber as of the time at which a call from said subscriber is received, and the duration of the message supplied by the data bank is fixed. A number is allocated which, for the telephone network, is considered to correspond to a time-based charge based on a certain charge band, this number also implying a routing of the call via time-based charging means. The fixed duration of the message and the charge band are chosen in such a way that the total of the charge charged to the calling subscriber for receiving the complete message contains an extra charge of at least one unit compared with the charge which would have been made to him for a call of the same duration with a subscriber belonging to the same local distribution area as the data bank. The number of calls to which the data bank has replied are counted and the number of extra charges charged is deducted therefrom.

Charging process for selling information by telephone

Electrostatic accelerometer comprising an electrically conducting test weight freely floating in a cage and a system of electrodes located in said cage at the points where the axes of a coordinate tri-rectangular trihedral meet the cage. The electrodes are associated by pairs located along a given coordinate axis and form with the test weight pairs of variable capacitors. Two capacitor bridges including the variable capacitors give the sum and difference of the capacities of these variable capacitors and adder subtractor means gives the individual values of these capacities. The accelerometer further comprises means for calculating the gradients of the measured capacities of a pair of electrodes, means for squaring the positioning control signals relating to said pair of electrodes, and means for multiplying said gradient by said squared signals.
