Described herein are tires comprising a rubber composition based on at least an elastomer matrix comprising from 50 to 100 phr of one or more copolymers of butadiene and of vinylaromatic monomer, having a content of vinylaromatic units of between 0 and 5% by weight and a Tg within a range extending from −110° C. to −70° C.; and a hydrocarbon resin, wherein the hydrocarbon resin is based on a cyclic monomer selected from the group consisting of a distillation cut from a petroleum refinery stream, and/or C, Cor Ccyclic olefins and mixtures thereof, and wherein the hydrocarbon resin has a content of aromatic protons (H Ar, expressed in mol %), a glass transition temperature (Tg, expressed in ° C.), and a number average molecular weight (Mn, expressed in g/mol) that are represented by (1) H Ar>6 mol %, (2) Tg≥95−2.2*(H Ar), and (3) Tg≥−53+(0.265*Mn).

Tire incorporating a rubber composition including a specific hydrocarbon resin

Described herein are tires comprising a rubber composition based on at least an elastomer and a hydrocarbon resin, wherein the hydrocarbon resin is based on a cyclic monomer selected from the group consisting of a distillation cut from a petroleum refinery stream, and/or C, Cor Ccyclic olefins and mixtures thereof, and wherein the hydrocarbon resin has a number average molecular weight (Mn) of between 150 and 800 g/mol, and a content of aromatic protons (H Ar, expressed in mol %), a glass transition temperature (Tg, expressed in ° C.), and a number average molecular weight (Mn, expressed in g/mol) that are represented by (1) H Ar≤6 mol %, (2) Tg≥95−2.2*(H Ar), (3) Tg≥125−(0.08*Mn).

The tread of a civil engineering vehicle tire comprises a rubber composition based on at least one elastomer matrix comprising from 50 to 100 phr of a styrene-butadiene copolymer and from 0 to 50 phr of isoprene elastomer; a reinforcing filler comprising predominantly carbon black with CTAB specific surface area greater than or equal to 90 m/g; from 1 to 30 phr of at least one hydrocarbon resin predominantly consisting of units derived from aromatic and cycloaliphatic monomers, having an aromatic proton content between 0 and 12%, an ethylenic proton content greater than 3%, a number-average molecular weight above 500 g/mol and a polydispersity index greater than 2; and a crosslinking system.

A rubber composition is based on at least one elastomer, a reinforcing filler, a crosslinking system and an optionally hydrogenated hydrocarbon-based resin, predominantly composed of units selected from the group consisting of cyclopentadiene, dicyclopentadiene, methylcyclopentadiene and mixtures thereof, said hydrocarbonbased resin having an average molecular weight Mz of less than 2000 g/mol and a glass transition temperature Tg, expressed in &#xb0; C., such that: Tg&#x2265;80&#x2212;2*(% HA), wherein % HA represents the content of aromatic protons of said resin, the content of said hydrocarbon-based resin being within a range extending from 15 to 150 phr.

Rubber composition including a specific hydrocarbon resin

Rubber composition comprising a specific hydrocarbon resin

A rubber composition is based on at least one diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler, a crosslinking system and a hydrocarbon-based resin. The hydrocarbon-based resin has a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of between 700 and 1000 g/mol, an average molecular weight Mz of greater than 6000 g/mol and a polydispersity index (PI) of greater than 2.4.
