The inventive device is provided with a unit () comprising a body () which interacts with a pipette tip () in a vertical position in order to retain the content of the pipette tip () in the unit () and comprises a nozzle () having a capillary channel () insertable into a straw () oriented in a transversal position with respect to the body in such a way that, when the body is in a vertical position, said nozzle () is in a horizontal position. The invention relates to a packaging tube for a pre-determined volume of a biological substance to be stored at a low temperature and to a system including same. The inventive packaging tube comprises a portion () for receiving the volume and an annular end portion () designed to be more easily crushed by pinching than the receiving portion () and to adopt a flattened position in which two lips () are in contact with one another. In addition, the annular end portion () is designed such that the lips () are secured to one another in order to form a seal () on the tube. A filler nozzle for packaging, in particular for use in artificial insemination, has a plastics material body with a male or female conical part that partly surrounds a capillary tube made from stainless steel or a plastics material. The filler nozzle is particularly suitable for filling straws with seminal liquid. It prevents pollution of the closing area of the straw. It is also compatible with automatic placement and with manual handling.

A method and a system are disclosed for filling a straw which is fitted with a stopper that is permeable to gases and impermeable to liquids and which has a diameter greater than or equal to approximately three millimeters with a liquid while it is vertical. A primary vacuum is established in the straw. The straw is then filled and a quantity of air remaining above the resulting column of liquid is evacuated, enabling homogeneous filling of the straw.
