An assembly comprising an upstream pipe, a downstream pipe, and a system () for measuring variation in the gas content of a two-phase flow, the assembly including: an insulating sheath (), an upstream ground (), a measurement electrode (), a guard electrode (), and a downstream ground () arranged in succession in the insulating sheath () and each presenting an identical internal section defining an internal flow duct for a two-phase flow from the upstream ground () towards the downstream ground () in line with the upstream pipe and the downstream pipe, the guard electrode () being subjected to the same potential as the measurement electrode (), the measurement electrode () measuring the capacitance of the two-phase flow relative to the upstream ground () and variation in that capacitance, the upstream ground () and the downstream ground () being electrically connected to the upstream pipe and to the downstream pipe, respectively.

Assembly for capacitive measurement of the amount of gas in a fluid flow

A sensor for determining gas content of a two phase fluid flowing in a flow line, the sensor including a sleeve configured to be arranged in the flow line in a stream of fluid. The sleeve includes a plurality of measurement electrodes that, in pairs, define a plurality of subdivision spaces subdividing a flow section of the sleeve. The sensor also includes switch and measurement members coupled to the measurement electrodes to control switching of each subdivision space of the sleeve between a measuring state and a non-measuring state. The switch and measurement members are configured to selectively switch the state of each of the subdivision spaces independently of one another.

Multi-electrode sensor for determining the gas content in a two-phase flow

A capacitive dimensional measurement chain with linear output is essentia comprised of a capacitive sensor formed by a central detection electrode and a guard electrode surrounding the detection electrode that are respectively powered by two a.c. bias voltage sources. The chain also comprises a reference capacitor and a measuring circuit for measuring the distance between the detection electrode and a conductive part placed facing the detection electrode. The bias voltage sources are variable level sources and are level-controlled by a distance measurement signal issued by the measuring circuit. The measuring circuit comprises a level amplifier and a demodulator for amplifying and demodulating an incoming error signal representative of a difference between a load of a sensor capacitance that is defined between the detection electrode and the part separated by the distance to be measured, and a load of the reference capacitor. The distance measurement signal supplied by the measuring circuit linearly represents the distance to be measured.

Capacitive dimensional measurement chain with linear output

Electrical continuimeter device for checking the electrical continuity of a conducting layer covering a structure having conducting and non-conducting parts, said conducting layer being covered by an insulator layer. The device comprises a pick-up with an inner and an outer coaxial electrodes to be put on the insulator layer. A supply alternating voltage is applied between the inner electrode and the ground terminal of the structure developing a first voltage across a load resistor and a second voltage between the outer electrode and the ground terminal is measured. Components of the second voltage respectively cophasal and in phase quadrature with the first voltage are generated and these components are divided by the first voltage, thus providing the resistive and reactive components of the ground impedance.

Electrical continuimeter

Resistivimeter device for measuring the surface resistance of a structure coated with an inner resistive layer and an outer insulating superficial layer. This device comprises a pick-up to be placed on the structure surface and formed of a central cylindrical electrode, two intermediary annular electrodes and an outer annular electrode coaxial with the central electrode. A supply alternating voltage is applied between said central and outer electrodes, and the current thus produced is applied to a load resistor. The voltage across this load resistance is then measured. The inter-electrode voltage appearing between the intermediary electrodes is also measured. The component of the inter-electrode voltage cophasal with the load resistor voltage is formed and is divided by the load resistor voltage.
