A safety-related signalling device for a motor vehicle including a light guide, a first light source capable of emitting a light beam that illuminates a lateral face of the light guide to allow the light beam to propagate in the light guide, and a reflective screen having a front face located at a distance and across from a rear face of the light guide. The light guide is translucent and light-coloured, and the reflective screen promotes diffuse reflection of the light from the light guide so as to homogenize and intensify, on a front face, the light emitted by the light guide.

Signaling device for a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a shell, comprising a decorative film, implementing a first step of molding a plastic material so as to form a first element. The invention is characterized in that the manufacturing process implements a second step that consists in applying a decorative film against a front face of the first element, then a third step of overmolding a plastic material over at least one portion of the decorative film and of the first element so as to hold the detective film between the first element and a second element of the shell.

Process for manufacturing a shell comprising a decorative film

The invention relates to a lighting device for a signal light of a motor vehicle, generating increased light propagation in a light guide. To this end, the lighting device comprises a light guide defined by a front face, a light source illuminating a first end of the light guide, and a first mask which is positioned in front of the light source and a part of the front face of the light guide, such that the first mask hides the light source from an observer looking at the front face of the light guide. Advantageously, the front face of the light guide, facing the first mask, is at least partially covered by a separating layer reflecting the light emitted by the light source.

Signaling light for a motor vehicle, promoting increased light propagation in a light guide

An optical device is incorporated into an external part of a motor vehicle and comprises at least one sub-assembly including a light curtain or light curtain plus light guide and, on either side thereof, transparent plates each of which has at least one part being transparent and at least one other part being semi-transparent. At least one light source is connected to an electric source and emits rays of light that spread in a thickness of the light curtain or light curtain plus light guide. The sub-assembly and light source are incorporated into a housing, and the optical device collaborates with at least one lamp incorporated into a body-shell of the vehicle or LED on a suitable plate included in a sub-housing incorporated into the housing and emits rays of light through at least a portion of the light curtain or light curtain plus light guide that is transparent.

Signaling lamps for motor vehicle

An automotive light is provided having a substantially tub-shaped rear casing designed to fit to the vehicle body and a front lenticular half-shell which closes the opening of the rear casing and has at least one portion of transparent or semi-transparent material. The front lenticular half-shell includes a rear portion substantially aligned with the rear of the vehicle body, and a lateral portion substantially aligned with the side of the vehicle body. The automotive light also includes a strip light source designed to emit light when powered electrically and a light guide plate of photoconductive material shaped to substantially match the profile of the strip light source and housed inside the rear casing in a position substantially perpendicular to the rear portion of the front lenticular half-shell. A first side of the plate conducts light from the strip light source into the body of the light guide plate, and a second side of the plate directs light propagating in the light guide plate onto the lenticular half-shell. A transverse light-extracting band is provided to locally extract light onto a lateral portion of the front lenticular half-shell.

Automotive rear light

A device and corresponding module are for a signaling light and/or lighting an exterior or interior ambient of a motor-vehicle passenger compartment including a type of light source. The device comprises an optical assembly of a first reflector including a mirror and a second reflector including a semi-transparent mirror. Light emitted by an LED is diffused in a curtain diffuser of a transparent material. Planes or mid-planes of the mirror, the semi-transparent mirror, and the diffuser are mutually parallel. Light transmitted or reflected by the assembly is transmitted and visible to an observer from a surface of the second reflector that is opposite to that facing other elements of the assembly. The diffuser includes a lighting sub-assembly arranged in space between the mirror and semi-transparent mirror and having a transparent optical material and a light source arranged for emission of light rays propagated within a thickness of the optical material.

Device for procuring an infinity effect for a motor vehicle signaling light

A device is for a lighting/signaling assembly of an automotive vehicle. The assembly includes a substantially transparent optical material and at least one light source of an 'LED' type arranged for emitting light rays propagating within a thickness of the optical material. The device comprises a plate of substantially transparent optical material forming a screen and including at least one substantially bilateral elongated bulge defining a substantially circular overall substantially perpendicular cross-section and substantially mean longitudinal axis in a substantially mid-plane of the bulge and being adapted to form a light guide. At least one LED is disposed at at least one end of the light guide and defines a main axis of the LED that is substantially orthogonal to a substantially longitudinal axis of the light guide.
