A coaxial connector with a connector body is provided with a connector body bore. An annular coupling groove is provided in the connector body bore open to a cable end of the connector body. A clamp sidewall of the coupling grove is angled inward from a bottom of the coupling groove. A slip ring seated within the coupling body bore is provided with a grip surface. An annular compression body is positioned between the slip ring and a compression surface of the coupling body. The connector body and the coupling body are coupled together via threads. The slip ring is dimensioned for axial advancement of the coupling body along the threads to exert a compression force against the compression body to clamp a leading edge of the outer conductor between the slip ring and the clamp sidewall.

A coaxial connector provided with an increasing diameter compression sidewalk A grip ring is seated within the coupling body bore and is provided with a plurality of coupling spring fingers extending from the grip ring. An inner diameter of the coupling spring fingers has a grip surface and an inward projecting cable stop is provided at a connector end of the grip ring. The connector body and the coupling body are coupled together via threads, the grip ring dimensioned for axial advancement of the coupling body along the threads to drive the coupling spring fingers against the compression sidewall to exert a compression force radially inward upon the outer diameter of the outer conductor seated in the coupling body bore abutting the cable stop.

Unprepared cable end coaxial connector

A coaxial connector with a connector body is provided with a connector body bore. A grip ring is retained within the connector body bore, and an outer diameter of the grip ring abuts an annular wedge surface provided with a taper between a maximum diameter proximate the connector end and a minimum diameter proximate the cable end. The wedge surface may be provided directly on the connector body bore sidewall or alternatively on an inner diameter of a clamp ring coupled to the cable end of the connector body. An inner diameter of the grip ring is provided with a grip surface. A spring contact is retained within the connector body bore. The grip surface and an inner diameter of the spring contact are dimensioned to receive the outer conductor from the cable end there through and to then couple with an outer diameter of the outer conductor.

Coaxial connector for cable with a solid outer conductor

A coaxial connector with a connector body is provided with a connector body bore. A grip ring is retained within the connector body bore, and an outer diameter of the grip ring abuts an annular wedge surface provided with a taper between a maximum diameter proximate the connector end and a minimum diameter proximate the cable end. The wedge surface may be provided directly on the connector body bore sidewall or alternatively on an inner diameter of a clamp ring coupled to the cable end of the connector body. An inner diameter of the grip ring is provided with a grip surface. A spring contact is retained within the connector body bore. The grip surface provided with a rotational interlock with the connector body directly or via an interconnection with the spring contact and/or clamp ring.

Coaxial connector grip ring having an anti-rotation feature

A tool for mid-span cable stripping having a wheel enclosure surrounding an inner wheel with at least one cable saddle formed in an outer circumference, the cable saddle(s) adapted to rotatably cradle a cable of a desired outer diameter. The wheel enclosure having an access cut-away with an over hanging portion that exposes the cable saddle for insertion of the cable. The cable saddle moveable, via rotation of the inner wheel, under the overhanging portion whereby the cable in the cable saddle is retained and a blade coupled to the wheel enclosure with a cutting edge projecting inward engages the cable. Rotation of the tool about the cable strips an outer sheath of the cable. Where multiple cable saddles of different sizes are formed about the circumference of the inner wheel, the tool may be used with a range of different diameter cables.

Multi-cable jacket removal tool

A seal assembly adapted to seal around an interconnection between a cable and an apparatus. The seal assembly formed from two shell halves which join together around the interconnection that are sealed by a gasket against a connector body attached to the apparatus at an apparatus end and another gasket against the cable at a cable end. The cable end gasket is adapted to be pressed between the cable and a conical cable end gasket surface by a nut which threads onto a thread formed on the two shell halves. The nut and cable end gasket are adapted to attach to the cable without passing over a connector attached to the cable end. The cable end gasket has a slit and the nut is formed from two parts which join together, around the cable.
