Various systems facilitate encrypted file storage. A client device may generate an encrypted version of a file. The client device may obtain at least one reference to at least one storage location for the encrypted version of the file. The client device may cause the encrypted version of the file to be store at the at least one storage location using the at least one reference to the at least one storage location.

Systems herein include a managed content application that can place markers for conversations within secure documents. A separate social application can serve as the platform for the conversations, allowing for efficient conversations that can occur in real time. The markers can be stored with the documents and identify the conversation, allowing users to retrieve historical conversations that occurred on the social application from within the document. This can allow users to quickly come up to speed without having to rehash the conversations with the original participants. Document security can also be maintained without sacrificing conversation efficiency of the social application.

Containerized contextual conversation system

Disclosed are various examples for securing the transmission of files to and from a client device. In some examples, an initialization token is identified for a file that includes a number of portions. An algorithm is iteratively applied to the initialization token to determine that no repeated output occurs over a number of iterations corresponding to the number of file portions. Initialization data is transmitted from a client device to a management service that manages access to the file. The initialization token is included in the initialization data if no repeated output occurs when the algorithm is iteratively applied over the number of iterations.

System and method to secure the transmission of files to a valid client

Disclosed are various examples for securing the streaming of a media file from a web service to a media player. A request for a portion of a media file can be received including an authentication key. A web service can validate the authentication key. If the authentication key validates, the web service can send the portion of media to a media player. The media player can render the media on a display of a client device. Requests can be iteratively sent for each portion of the media file.

System and method to secure the streaming of media to a valid client

Managed device scatternet administration is described herein. In one example, to form a scatternet of managed devices, a network entry request including a unique device identifier and a public key is received from a client device. The public key is validated and the structure of the scatternet is examined to find an opening for the client device. After validation of the public key, network access data and a session key are encrypted by the public key and forwarded to the client device. The client device can use the network access data to find a network sublayer having the opening in the scatternet. At the same time, client admission data and the session key can also be sent to a sublayer propagator device of the network sublayer. After the client device enters the scatternet, management configuration data can be dispatched to it for device management.

Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating the distribution of files from a file repository. Files from a file repository can be distributed via peer to peer transmissions where the peer devices can perform authentication functions. The authentication can be performed based upon metadata associated with the files as well as based upon authentication requests submitted to an authentication server.
