A bonding device is used to bond a plate assembly including a first plate and a second plate and includes an anvil, a probe, a shoulder component, a driving mechanism, a power supply, and a control part. The anvil is configured to support a first surface of the plate assembly provided by the first plate. The probe is disposed at a position corresponding to the anvil to be opposite to a second surface of the plate assembly provided by the second plate. The shoulder component is disposed around the probe and has a via for the probe to pass through and an abutting surface for pressing the second surface. The anvil has a hemispherical surface facing the first surface and a receiving surface disposed at a position corresponding to the abutting surface. The anvil contacts the first surface with the hemispherical surface and the receiving surface.

Bonding device

A welded structure includes a first workpiece (), a second workpiece (), a bonded part () formed between the first workpiece and the second workpiece by plastically displaced materials of the first workpiece and the second workpiece, and a hooking portion () having a base end embedded in the second workpiece, and a tip end extending into the first workpiece, the hooking portion extending radially outwardly and upward along an outer periphery of the bonded part. A device for forming such a structure includes a clamp ring () which is provided with a central recess () in a part of a contact surface () thereof located around a through hole ().

Welded structure and friction stir welding device

A friction stir welding device includes: a probe capable of pressing a welding target part of a workpiece while rotating; a shoulder externally surrounding an outside of the probe, on a plane intersecting a rotation axis of the probe; a shoulder attachment member provided with the shoulder; and a flow path formed at a contact part between the shoulder and the shoulder attachment member and adapted to allow a cooling medium to flow therethrough.

Friction stir welding device

Disclosed is a method for separating a first member () and a second member () joined to each other comprising the steps of placing a clamp ring () on the surface of the first member, plunging a rotating probe () having a screw thread on a peripheral surface thereof into the surface of the first member through a through hole () of the clamp ring until a tip end of the probe reaches beyond an interface between the first member and the second member, the screw thread being directed so as to lift material of the bonded part away from the second member as a lifted part. The two members can be rejoined to each other by collapsing the lifted part into a bonded part once again by using a rotating probe and a clamp ring.

Method for separating members that were previously joined

A bonding device for joining together a first member (), an intermediate member (), and a second member () which are layered as a laminated assembly includes a probe (), an anvil (), a shoulder member (), a drive mechanism () configured to rotate the probe around the central axial line and move the probe toward and away from the second member along the central axial line, and an electric power supply () electrically connected to the anvil and the shoulder member to conduct electric current through the laminated assembly via the anvil and the shoulder member.

Bonding device and bonding method for friction stir bonding and resistance welding

A friction stir welding apparatus includes a probe, a shoulder, a recess part, and an annular member. The probe is pressed to a joint part of a plurality of joined members while being rotated. The shoulder is formed so as to surround the probe at an outside in a radial direction with respect to a rotation axis of the probe. The recess part is formed on at least one of an outer circumference of the probe and an inner circumference of the shoulder. The annular member is fitted to the recess part.

Friction stir welding apparatus

The disclosure provides a friction stir welding tool which can inhibit chipping even if an adhesion matter having high hardness adheres to a tip thereof during friction stir welding of an iron-base alloy and an aluminum alloy. In the tool for friction stir welding made of high-speed tool steel that includes a minor diameter portion and a major diameter portion formed adjacently to the minor diameter portion, hardness of the tool decreases from the minor diameter portion toward the major diameter portion. The hardness of the minor diameter portion may be 65 HRC or more by Rockwell hardness C-scale, and the hardness of the major diameter portion may be 60 HRC or less by Rockwell hardness C-scale.

Friction stir welding tool

A friction stir welding tool includes a probe having a front end surface and an outer circumferential surface. The probe has, formed therein, outer circumferential recesses extending to the front end surface along a rotation axis. The friction stir welding tool rotates the probe about the rotation axis and embeds the probe inside a workpiece during rotation of the probe to thereby weld the workpiece. The width of the outer circumferential recesses is increased toward a front end of the probe.

A friction stir welding tool includes a probe having a front end surface and an outer circumferential surface. Outer circumferential recesses are formed in the probe. The outer circumferential recesses extend along the rotational axis of the probe up to the front end surface. The friction stir welding tool rotates the probe about the rotation axis, and embeds the probe inside a workpiece during rotation of the probe to weld the workpiece. A front end recess is formed in the front end surface. The front end recess is positioned at the central part of the front end surface, and connected to the outer circumferential recesses.

A friction stir welding tool includes a probe having a front end surface and an outer circumferential surface. The outer circumferential surface has, formed therein, outer circumferential recesses extending to the front end surface. The friction stir welding tool is configured to rotate the probe about a rotation axis, and embed the probe inside a workpiece during rotation of the probe to thereby weld the workpiece. A front end recess is formed in the front end surface, and the front end recess extends to the outer circumferential surface in a manner that the front end recess does not communicate with the outer circumferential recesses.
