Provided is a rear vehicle-body structure of a vehicle, capable of reducing vibrations transmitted from a rear wheel to a floor panel, while ensuring required performance for rear side frames and a cross member. The rear vehicle-body structure comprises a symmetric pair of frame members extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction along respective lateral sides of a rear of a vehicle body of the vehicle, and a rear-side rear cross member bridging the symmetric pair of frame members in a vehicle width direction, wherein an attachment portion between each of the frame members and the rear-side rear cross member provided with rigidity difference generation part to generate a rigidity difference between the frame member and the rear-side rear cross member.

Rear vehicle-body structure of vehicle

A rear vehicle-body structure comprises a rear-floor front part on which a rear seat is placed and which is inclined such that a front side thereof is located at a higher level than a rear side thereof, a right-and-left reinforcing extension having a rear end that is positioned on both sides, in a vehicle width direction, of the rear-floor front part. The right-and-left reinforcing extension extends forwardly and inwardly, in the vehicle width direction, from the rear end. The rear vehicle-body structure further includes a right-and-left second reinforcing extension provided on an outward side in the vehicle width direction of the right-and-left first reinforcing extension, and is configured to extend forwardly and outwardly in the vehicle width direction from a vicinity of the rear end of the right-and-left first reinforcing extension.

Provided is a rear vehicle body structure that includes: a right and left pair of frame members each extending in a front-rear direction and having a damper supporting part; rear wheel wells; a rear floor panel; a rear cross member upper part connecting the right and left pair of frame members to each other on a front side of the damper supporting parts; front side reinforcements provided along a vehicle cabin inner side of each of the rear wheel wells and extending in an up-down direction on the front side of the damper supporting parts; and a reinforcing member mounted on each of the frame members and having a reinforcing member main body that reinforces the damper supporting part and a reinforcing member coupling part that couples together the rear cross member upper part and the front side reinforcement.

Rear vehicle body structure

A recessed portion is formed at a frame member provided at a rear portion of a vehicle body and having a closed cross section extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction such that a part of a lower face of the frame member is recessed upwardly, where a damper of a rear suspension is inserted and fixed. A front portion of the frame member is joined to a side sill extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction at a position offset outwardly in a vehicle width direction from the frame member. Branch-shaped closed cross sections branching off from the closed cross section inwardly and outwardly relative to the damper are formed at a position corresponding to the recessed portion of the frame member. A portion of the frame member located at the above-described position is wide outwardly.

Rear vehicle-body structure

A recessed portion is formed at a frame member provided at a rear portion of a vehicle body and having a closed cross section extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction, wherein the recessed portion is configured such that a lower face of the frame member is recessed upwardly and a damper is inserted into and fixed to the recessed portion. Closed cross sections are formed inside the frame member at a position corresponding to the recessed portion. These closed cross sections are configured to branch off from the closed cross section outwardly and inwardly relative to the damper. A reinforcing member is fixed to the frame member and a wheel house inner at the position corresponding to the recessed portion such that a space is formed at a corner portion of these.

A recessed portion is formed at a lower face of a frame member provided at a vehicle rear portion and having a closed cross section extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction, where a damper of a rear suspension is inserted into and fixed. A front portion of the frame member is joined to a side sill extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction at a position offset outwardly from the frame member. Branch-shaped closed cross sections branching off from the closed cross section inwardly and outwardly relative to the damper are formed at a recessed-portion corresponding position. A front portion of the frame member located in front of the recessed-portion corresponding position extends in an oblique direction forwardly and outwardly and a front end of the frame member is joined to a rear portion of the side sill.

A recessed portion is formed at a frame member provided at a rear portion of a vehicle body and having a closed cross section extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction such that a part of a lower face of the frame member is recessed upwardly, where a damper of a rear suspension is inserted and fixed. Closed cross sections are formed at a position corresponding to the recessed portion, in a longitudinal direction, of the frame member. The closed cross sections are configured to branch off from the closed cross section inwardly and outwardly in the vehicle width direction relative to the damper. A ridgeline extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction is formed at least at a portion of the frame member which is positioned in front of the recessed portion.

A rear vehicle-body structure of a vehicle comprises a wheel house provided at a side face portion of a vehicle-body rear portion, a side frame extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction on an inward side, in a vehicle width direction, of the wheel house, a suspension comprising a damper provided to extend in a vehicle vertical direction for damping a vertical load inputted from a wheel thereto and a bump stopper provided on a shaft center of the damper, and a suspension housing including a support face portion for supporting the damper and provided to connect the side frame and the wheel house, wherein the suspension housing comprises a peripheral wall portion which is provided to extend downward from the support face portion and enclose the bump stopper at least partially.

A rear vehicle-body structure of a vehicle comprises a wheel house, a side frame, a suspension comprising a damper and a spring, and a suspension housing connecting the side frame and the wheel house. The suspension housing includes a supporting part for supporting the damper and a spring receiving part for supporting an upper end portion of the spring at a position located on an outward side, in a vehicle width direction, of the side frame and on an upward side, in a vehicle vertical direction, of a lower end of the side frame. Further, connection portions connecting, in the vehicle vertical direction, the side frame and the spring receiving part are provided on a downward side, in the vehicle vertical direction, of the spring receiving part.

A rear vehicle-body structure of a vehicle comprises a wheel house, a side frame, a suspension comprising a damper, and a suspension housing connecting the side frame and the wheel house. The suspension housing includes a support face portion for supporting the damper, a level floor portion which extends outward from its connection portion to the side frame, and a vertical wall portion which extends upward from an outward-side edge portion, in a vehicle width direction, of the level floor portion up to an inward-side edge portion, in the vehicle width direction, of the support face portion.

A pair of rear side frames respectively comprise front bending-promotion portions, middle bending-promotion portions and rear bending-promotion portions which cause the rear side frames to bend inward, in a vehicle width direction, in a trough-folding shape in a rear collision of a vehicle, and a longitudinal distance Lbetween the front bending-promotion portions and the middle bending-promotion portions is set to be longer than a longitudinal direction Lbetween the middle bending-promotion portions and the rear bending-promotion portions. Thereby, there is provided a rear vehicle-body structure of an automotive vehicle which can properly absorb a collision load at a vehicle-body rear portion, even if a rear side frame is made from material which may not cause smooth bucking of the rear side frame.

Rear vehicle-body structure of automotive vehicle

A gusset member which is provided in back of a front wheel and connects a dash panel and a hinge pillar is provided. A first reinforcing member which is connected to the gusset member to reinforce a lower portion of the hinge pillar is provided. Accordingly, a cabin deformation of a vehicle side portion as a whole can be properly restrained, thereby ensuring a sufficient space of a vehicle compartment.
