A projector includes: an image light generating section generating image light; a projection lens projecting the image light emitted from the image light generating section; a lens shift mechanism moving the projection lens in a first direction orthogonal to an optical axis of the projection lens; an external housing accommodating the image light generating section and the lens shift mechanism and including an opening surrounding the projection lens; and a fitting mechanism attached to the external housing. The external housing includes a notch portion formed by cutting off a portion of the peripheral edge of the opening and located in the first direction with respect to the projection lens. The fitting mechanism includes a fitting portion fitted into the notch portion and forming a portion of the peripheral edge. The fitting portion moves away from the projection lens by being pressed from the projection lens side.

A projector includes: an operating panel having a plurality of operating buttons which carry out various operations, is exposed in the external surface of an exterior housing; a projection optical device configured to project an image light into which an incident luminous flux has been modulated in accordance with image information; an image adjustment section configured to change the relative positions of a plurality of lenses configuring the projection optical device; and an image adjustment panel having image adjustment buttons which cause the image adjustment section to operate, wherein the image adjustment panel is disposed in a position independent of the operating panel.

An electronic device includes: a housing which accommodates a device main body; and a leg which contacts an installation surface on which the housing is installed and changes the projection length projecting from the outside surface of the housing. The leg has a leg main body contacting the installation surface, and a support member which projects from the outside surface of the housing and supports the leg main body. The support member has a base provided on the outside surface of the housing and a projecting portion projecting from the base and having a screw groove on the outer circumferential surface of the base. The leg main body has an insertion hole into which the projecting portion is inserted at one end of the leg main body, and a screw thread engaging with the screw groove on the inner circumferential surface of the insertion hole.

A projector includes a lens cover which is slidable relative to a chassis for covering and exposing a projection aperture of a projection lens. A detecting section includes a light emitting portion which projects a light beam and detects the opened state or closed state of the lens cover depending on the absence or presence of the light beam received by a light receiving portion. The light emitting portion and light receiving portion are disposed so that the optical path of the light beam projected from the light emitting portion and received by the light receiving portion intersects the slide direction of the lens cover. A light shielding portion is provided in the lens cover. The light shielding portion is formed in a predetermined width in the slide direction of the lens cover.

Projector

A projection position adjuster () of a projector includes a fixing plate (), a first moving plate () that can move in a Y-axis direction and an X-axis direction orthogonal to each other in a plane orthogonal to a projection direction, a first adjusting driver () that moves the first moving plate () in the Y-axis direction, a second moving plate () that can move in the X-axis direction and moves the first moving plate () in the X-axis direction by engaging with the first moving plate (), and a second adjusting driver () that moves the second moving plate () in the X-axis direction. The first moving plate () and the second moving plate () are superposed onto the fixing plate () in a projection direction. The first moving plate () is movably abutted on the fixing plate () and supports and fixes the projection lens ().

Sliding lens shutter cover for projector

According to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, in a projections lens position adjuster, when a part of a dial exposed from an exterior case is rotated downward, a gear is rotated in an R2 direction. A Y-slider is then moved downward (in a Y3 direction). Accordingly, a Y-table is moved downward, as is a projection lens. When the part of the dial exposed from the exterior case is rotated upward, the projection lens is moved upward. When a part of a dial exposed from the exterior case is rotated leftward. In contrast, when the dial is rotated rightward, the projection lens is moved rightward. Provided around the projection lens are a first light shield for closing a gap between an opening of a front case and a periphery of the projection lens, and a second light shield for closing a gap between the projection lens and a hole of a base of the projection lens position adjuster. A shield body of the first light shield includes a ring-shaped elastic member disposed to extend between a ring and the projection lens, and a pair of attachments extending from the elastic member outward.

According to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, in a projection lens position adjuster, when a part of a dial exposed from an exterior case is rotated downward, a gear is rotated in an Rdirection. A Y-slider is then moved downward (in a Ydirection). Accordingly, a Y-table is moved downward, as is a projection lens. When the part of the dial exposed from the exterior case is rotated upward, the projection lens is moved upward. When a part of a dial exposed form the exterior case is rotated leftward as seen from a rear side of a projector, the projection lens is moved leftward. In contrast, when the dial is rotated rightward, the projection lens is moved rightward. Provided around the projection lens are a first light shield for closing a gap between an opening of a front case and a periphery of the projection lens, and a second light shield for closing a gap between the projection lens and a hole of a base of the projection lens position adjuster. A shield body of the first light shield includes a ring-shaped elastic member disposed to extend between a ring and the projection lens, and a pair of attachments extending from the elastic member outward.

The invention provides a projector that can have a light source device, an optical device that modulates, in accordance with image information, beams emitted from the light source device to form an optical image, and an external case that accommodates the light source device and the optical device. The projector can enlarge and project the optical image formed by the optical device. The projector can include leg portions that are disposed so as to be extendable from and retractable to an outer peripheral surface of the external case to adjust the projection position of the enlarged and projected optical image, an intake opening formed in the surface of the external case disposed with the leg portions, and an intake fan that is disposed inside the external case near the intake opening and introduces cooling air from the outside of the external case. An intake surface of the intake fan can be disposed at an inclination with respect to the plane of the external case in which the intake opening is formed.

Illumination device, projector

A projector includes a light-source device, a discharge duct having an air intake port facing the light-source device and a discharge port, an axial fan mounted between the air intake port and the light-source device in an outer casing. The discharge port has an opening area smaller than that of the air intake port and is eccentric to the air intake port. The direction of air flow from the axial fan is inclined with respect to the direction of the discharge of a cooling air from the discharge port. Accordingly, when the cooling air that has cooled a light source lamp is discharged through the discharge duct with the axial fan, the light blocking effect can be increased and the discharge pressure of the cooling air discharged can be increased.
