A protector includes a protector body, a lid member, and an engagement mechanism. The lid member has a ceiling and a protrusion. When a first wiring member and a second wiring member are accommodated in an accommodating space in a non-regular arrangement in which a peripheral surface of the first wiring member contacts a bottom and a peripheral surface of the second wiring member contacts the peripheral surface of the first wiring member, the peripheral surface of the second wiring member contacts the protrusion on the way of the transition of the engagement mechanism from a non-engagement state to an engagement state. When accommodated in a regular arrangement, the engagement mechanism transitions from the non-engagement state to the engagement state.

Protector

A wire harness includes a connector, a grommet assembled to the connector and being in close contact with one opening edge portion of an attachment hole of a panel, and a plurality of electric wires that are inserted into the grommet. The connector includes terminal fittings provided at end portions of the plurality of electric wires, a connector housing that accommodates the terminal fittings, and an inner member having an annular plate-shaped flange disposed outside the connector housing. The grommet includes a flange assembly portion that is assembled to the flange, and an electric wire accommodating dome portion that accommodates drawn-out portions of the plurality of electric wires being drawn out from the connector housing. The inner member includes two deformation preventing walls that prevent the electric wire accommodating dome portion from being deformed inward.

Wire harness and grommet detachment preventing structure

A wire harness includes a connector and a grommet. The connector includes an inner member having an annular plate-shaped flange. The inner member includes a first divided inner part, a second divided inner part, a deformable hinge that connects one end of the first divided inner part and one end of the second divided inner part to each other, and a lock portion that is formed on a fitting portion between the other end of the first divided inner part and the other end of the second divided inner part. The lock portion is formed on a portion where the other end of the first divided inner part and the other end of the second divided inner part are fitted to each other by sliding movement in accordance with a twisting of the hinge about a first axis.

Wire harness and waterproof structure

A protector includes a protector main body, a lid member, a locking mechanism, and a pair of guide mechanisms. The locking mechanism has a locking hole formed in the lid member and opens on opposite sides in a height direction and a locking lug portion positioned at an end portion of an opposed wall portion on a side of an opening and that is locked to the locking hole. The locking mechanism locks the protector main body and the lid member to each other in a correct position. The guide mechanisms have guide chips positioned at opposite end portions in a width direction of the lid member and extending along the height direction and guide holes positioned at the end portions of the opposed wall portions on the side of the opening and into which the guide chips are respectively inserted along the height direction.

Protector and wire harness

A grommet includes a panel mounting portion to be mounted on a panel having an attachment hole, and an inner member to be assembled to the panel mounting portion and fitted into the attachment hole to lock an edge portion of the attachment hole. The panel mounting portion includes a base portion formed in an annular shape, a seal portion formed on the base portion, and a groove portion formed between the base portion and the seal portion, the groove portion being continuous in a peripheral direction. The inner member includes a restriction piece, which abuts against the edge portion of the attachment hole when the inner member is obliquely fitted into the attachment hole of the panel.

Grommet

A grommet which is configured to cover a periphery of a wire harness includes a panel mounting portion which is configured to be mounted to a panel. The panel mounting portion includes a base portion which is formed in an annular shape, a seal portion which is formed on the base portion and is configured to be in close contact with a surface of the panel, and a groove portion which is formed between the base portion and the seal portion along a peripheral direction of the panel mounting portion. A plurality of reinforcing ribs are configured to connect the base portion and the seal portion and are arranged in the peripheral direction in the groove portion, and the reinforcing ribs are inclined with respect to a mounting direction of the panel mounting portion to the panel.

A grommet assembly includes an inner member having a body portion to be inserted into a mounting hole of a panel, and a panel engagement portion formed on the body portion and to be engaged with an opening edge of the mounting hole, a grommet to be mounted to a rear side of the inner member, the grommet including an annular panel contact portion having a seal part to contact a portion of the panel surrounding the mounting hole, and a tubular wire housing portion connected to the panel contact portion and to cover an electric wire such that the electric wire bends with respect to a center axis of the mounting hole and a protruding member to protrude from a rear side of the body portion, the protruding member including a pressing support portion extending along an inner surface of a rear wall of the wire housing portion.

Grommet assembly

A grommet assembly includes an inner member having a first half portion and a second half portion, each having a body portion to be fitted into a mounting hole of a panel, a panel engagement portion configured to be engaged with an opening edge of the mounting hole, a grommet to be mounted to a rear side of the inner member and a first protruding part protruding from a rear side of the first half portion toward a rear wall of the wire housing portion. The inner member is to be dividable into the first and second half portions along a fitting direction of the body portion to the mounting hole. The first protruding part includes a first hook portion bent back at a protruding end of the first protruding part and includes a first pressing support portion including the protruding end of the first protruding part.

A panel mounting portion of a grommet includes an annular shaped base portion, a seal portion formed on the base portion, and a groove portion formed between the base portion and the seal portion. The seal portion includes a support portion extending forward from the base portion in a mounting direction to the panel, an extension portion extending outward from the support portion in a radial direction, a lip portion formed on the extension portion such that the lip portion protrudes forward in the mounting direction, and a thin portion formed at a middle portion of the support portion in the mounting direction. The panel mounting portion is pressed against the panel, so that the support portion is elastically deformed at the thin portion. And, the lip portion is in close contact with the panel in a state of protruding forward in the mounting direction.
