A resin composition containing a mixture of a polycarbonate resin and a rubber-reinforced styrene base resin which is prepared by polymerizing, in the presence of a rubbery polymer, a monomer mixture of an aromatic vinyl monomer, at least one of cyanated vinyl monomers and alkyl esters of unsaturated carboxylic acids and at least one other vinyl monomer; a polyolefin graft polymer which is prepared by polymerizing, in the presence of a crystalline polyolefin, a monomer of an aromatic vinyl monomer and at least one of cyanated vinyl monomers and alkyl esters of unsaturated carboxylic acids; and optionally a terpolymer of an olefin, an unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydride and an alkyl ester of an unsaturated carboxylic acid or an epoxy group-containing olefin copolymer of an unsaturated epoxy compound, an olefin and optionally an ethylenically unsaturated compound, which composition has good coating properties.

A thermoplastic resin composition having high heat resistance and good impact resistance, which comprises (A) at least one unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride polymer obtainable by polymerizing at least one unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride and at least one aromatic vinyl compound with or without at least one other polymerizable monomer in the presence or absence of a rubbery material and (B) at least one olefin polymer chosen from (B-1) an olefin/alkyl unsaturated carboxylate copolymer, (B-2) an unsaturated carboxylic acid-modified olefin polymer and (B-3) an epoxy group-containing olefin polymer, the weight proportion of the unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride polymer (A) and the olefin polymer (B) being 100:1-100.

A thermoplastic resin composition excellent in impact resistance and moldability and improved in falling ball impact strength at a weld part which comprises (A) a polycarbonate resin having a reduced viscosity at 25.degree. C. in chloroform of 0.40 to 0.55 and (B) a diene-rubber modified resin comprising 10 to 100% by weight of a graft polymer of a diene rubber chosen from polybutadiene, styrene/butadiene copolymer and butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, with an aromatic vinyl compound and at least one of a vinyl cyanide and an alkyl unsaturated carboxylate grafted thereon and 90 to 0% by weight of a copolymer of an aromatic vinyl compound with at least one of a vinyl cyanide and an alkyl unsaturated carboxylate. A thermoplastic resin composition improved in weld strength which comprises (A) a polycarbonate resin and (B) a rubber modified copolymer with (C) an epoxy group-containing olefin copolymer.

The resulting composition is excellent in solvent resistance, welding strength, impact resistance, molding property, etc.

A thermoplastic resin composition excellent in solvent resistance, paintability and moldability which comprises a polycarbonate resin and a conjugated diene rubber copolymer comprising units of a conjugated diene rubber, an aromatic vinyl compound and at least one of vinyl cyanide compounds and optionally hydroxylated alkyl esters of unsaturated carboxylic acids in a weight proportion of 20:80 to 80:20 with a polyamide resin in an amount of 0.1 to 20 parts by weight on the basis of 100 parts by weight of the combined weight of the polycarbonate resin and the conjugated diene rubber copolymer.

A thermoplastic resin composition with excellent dwelling thermal stability which comprises 100 parts by weight of a resin composition comprising a polymer (A) obtained by polymerization of at least two kinds of monomers selected from the group consisting of aromatic vinyl compounds, vinyl cyanide compounds and carboxylic acid alkyl esters in the presence of a conjugated diene rubber and a polycarbonate resin (B) in a weight proportion of from 10:90 to 90:10 and 0.05 to 5.0 parts by weight of at least one acid compound (C) chosen from inorganic acids, organic acids and organic acid anhydrides.

A method for preparation of a plated product which comprises electroplating a molded product of a resin composition comprising at least one kind of thermoplastic resin and carbon black having an oil absorption amount of not less than 200 ml/100 g and a surface area of not less than 500 m.sup.2 /g in a weight proportion of 100:3-100 and having an intrinsic volume resistivity of not more than 10.sup.3 .OMEGA..cm without previous electroless plating.
