There is provided a core of a steering wheel to which a module can be stably fixed while manufacturing cost is suppressed. Core () includes boss core portion () at which a gate of a mold is set and which is connected to a steering shaft. Core () includes a rim core portion that is positioned around boss core portion (). Core () includes a plurality of spoke core portions () that connect boss core portion () to the rim core portion. Core () includes connecting portion () that includes fixing portion () to which a module is fixed and connects spoke core portions () positioned on upper and lower sides in a neutral state of the steering wheel. Core () includes expansion portion () of which a width gradually increases downward toward upper end portion () of connecting portion () in the neutral state of the steering wheel.

Steering wheel core metal

A cover for an airbag device includes: a cover body including an opposed part covering an airbag housed underneath, and a tear line provided on the cover body and splitting when the airbag is inflated; and a covering material covering the opposed part of the cover body. The covering material includes: a fragile portion provided on a back surface of the covering material and at least partly overlapping with the tear line; and a stitched portion, at least part of the stitched portion being located at a position overlapping with the tear line and connected to the fragile portion.

Cover for airbag device

A first spoke connects a first point of a boss and a first joining point of a rim. A second spoke connects a second point of the boss different from the first point of the boss and a second joining point of the rim opposite to the first joining point of the rim to the boss. Each of the first and second spokes is in a plate shape. The first spoke has a circular first hole in a portion of the first spoke located at a middle in a longitudinal direction of the first spoke and at a center in a widthwise direction of the first spoke. The second spoke has a circular second hole in a portion of the second spoke located at a middle in a longitudinal direction of the second spoke and at a center in a widthwise direction of the second spoke.

An air bag includes: a gas introduction opening portion; and a bag-shaped air bag main body portion; the air bag main body portion in the folded state including a first accumulated portion folded in a state where at least a portion of the first accumulated portion is turned over on a counter-occupant side toward the gas introduction opening, and a second accumulated portion which includes a face confronting portion confronting a face of the occupant in a normal position, and which is folded in a state where the face confronting portion is superimposed on the first accumulated portion so that the inflation gas introduced from the gas introduction opening directly flows into the face confronting portion.

Air bag and folding method thereof

An airbag according to the present invention has: an airbag main body that is provided with a gas introduction opening; and an inner cloth portion that is arranged to cover the gas introduction opening in the airbag main body. The inner cloth portion has a first and a second opening end parts, and is fixed to a peripheral edge part of the gas introduction opening of the airbag main body while a position of the inner cloth portion is superimposed with the gas introduction opening of the airbag main body. In this manner, an airbag is caused to inflate and expand more speedily and widely in a direction which is orthogonal to an occupant's side direction, and an occupant can be buffered and supported in a stable manner so as to have a wide area from a front side irrespective of whatsoever posture seated by the occupant may be.

Airbag and airbag device provided with the airbag

An air bag deployed from a mounted member mounted with the air bag toward an occupant by an insertion of a gas, the air bag includes a front surface portion confronting the occupant, the front surface portion being arranged to be deployed toward the occupant. The front surface portion includes a lower expansion portion arranged to inflate to abut on a breast portion of the occupant, a pair of side expansion portions arranged to inflate to left and right sides of a head portion of the occupant to avoid the head portion of the occupant, and a recessed portion surrounded by the lower expansion portion and the side expansion portions, and recessed toward the mounted member.

Air bag

An airbag includes a circumferential plane, a margin, a receiving plane and a second seam line. The circumferential plane is formed by being seamed to form a first seam line from its base end to its farthest end and has a closed cross section. The margin for the first seam line is provided on the circumferential plane. The receiving plane extends integrally from the circumferential panel and receives a passenger at an impact. The circumferential plane and the receiving plane are seamed together to form the second seam line. The second seam line crosses the first seam line and goes across the margin in a width direction of the margin. According to the airbag, its manufacturing efficiency can be improved.
