A document image processing device and method for extracting a title region and a mark attached by the user from a document image to use them as document tag information. A region with a region average character size larger then a predetermine extraction judging value is extracted as a title region by title region extracting means. As a result, title regions can be extracted from one document image. A mark that the user makes on an input image is extracted by mark extracting means, and characteristic value of the mark is found by calculating means. Document tag information to be imparted to the input image is selected from reference tag information according to the characteristic value and the attribute value of the reference tag information imparting means. Thus, document tag information is automatically imparted to a document image.

Document image processor, method for extracting document title, and method for imparting document tag information

A network system for control of the image inputting and outputting apparatus using FTP, one of the most common communication protocols among TCP/IP, which has now become a network connection standard. The prior art network system requires complicated procedures. When the image inputting apparatus on the network is controlled by FTP, a processing method has to be set for each operation, because FTP itself is not equipped with a command for control of the image inputting and outputting apparatus. To solve this problem, the network system according to the present invention is provided with command interpretation means that interprets a specific FTP and a specific character string written on the file name field of said command and generates a control instruction to image inputting and outputting means.

A digital integrated apparatus and an image control system capable of registering images with simple operation. As a start button provided in the digital integrated apparatus is turned on, image data is generated by an image input element, while attribute information is generated by an attribute information generator. These image data and attribute information are transmitted by a transfer element to a network address stored in an address storing device, and are stored in a storing element of a service device. These image data and attribute information are made public by a publicizer of the server device, and submitted to perusing by a perusing element of a peruser device.

Digital integrated apparatus and image control system

The present invention relates to the image data management means performing the registration and fetching (printing) of an image data and the method thereof. By the image data management means the image data is registered in a storage means with adding a file name based on a registration number specifying said image data and then the registration number and attribute information about the image data corresponding to it are registered and controlled in an attribute information table. The image data management means, when a specific registration number is informed, fetches the image data corresponding to said registration number out of a storage means and instructs an image data output means to print the fetched image data. The publication means publishes a list view based on the attribute information registered in the attribute information table through a network. The browser means transmits the print request regarding the image data corresponding to at least one of the list view published by the publication means toward the publication means together with the registration number of the image data. The publication means the registration number of the print-request object toward the image data management means. According to this arrangement, it is possible to shorten the print processing of the image data.
