An armature winding of multiple phases has a phase winding that is made of a plurality of partial windings for each phase. The partial winding includes a pair of intermediate conductor portions and crossover portions that connect the pair of intermediate conductor portions in an annular shape, and is configured by a conductor material being wound in multiple layers in the pair of intermediate conductor portions and the crossover portions. The intermediate conductor portions of the phases are arrayed in a predetermined order in the circumferential direction by one of the intermediate conductor portions of the pair of intermediate conductor portions of the partial winding of another phase being arranged between the pair of intermediate conductor portions of the partial winding. A sheet-shaped insulation covering body is provided in the intermediate conductor portion in a portion that opposes the intermediate conductor portion of the partial winding of another phase.

Rotating electric machine

An armature includes an armature winding of multiple phases having phase windings, for each phase, that includes a plurality of partial windings, and a base member that includes a circular cylindrical back yoke. The partial winding includes a pair of intermediate conductor portions and crossover portions that connect the intermediate conductor portions in an annular shape. A conductor is wound in multiple layers in the intermediate conductor portions and the crossover portions. An interference prevention portion extends in a radial direction. The intermediate conductor portions are arrayed in a predetermined order in the circumferential direction, by one of the intermediate conductor portions of a first phase being arranged between the intermediate conductor portions of the partial winding of a second phase. The partial windings are assembled to the back yoke in a state in which an insulation layer is interposed between the intermediate conductor portion and the back yoke.

Armature and rotating electric machine

A stator with a multi-phase stator winding including phase windings each made of several winding segments, the segments including intermediate conductor portions arranged away from each other in a circumferential direction and link portions located at first and second radial end sides and connect the paired intermediate conductor portions into an annular shape. The winding segments are adjacent each other in a circumferential direction partially overlapping in the circumferential direction and include first and second winding segments overlapping each other in the circumferential direction. The link portions of the first winding segments are bent radially inward at at least one of axially opposed ends of the stator winding. The link portions of the second winding segments are bent radially outward at the at least one of the axially opposed ends of the stator winding. These link portions are arranged not overlapping in an axial direction of the stator.

Rotating electrical machine

In a rotating electrical machine, a holder member is disposed to be radially closer to an armature coil than to a magnetic field generator. The holder member is configured to hold the armature coil. The holder member has a first portion that faces a first end portion of the armature coil, and a second portion that faces a second end portion of the armature coil. The first portion of the holder member is thermally coupled to the first end portion of the armature coil. The second portion of the holder member is thermally coupled to the second end portion of the armature coil.

An armature which radially faces a magnetic field-producing unit equipped with a magnet unit having a plurality of magnetic poles includes a housing, an armature core, a multi-phase armature winding, and bus bars. The housing includes a cylinder and a disc-shaped end plate placed in contact with one of axially opposed ends of the cylinder. The armature core is disposed on a portion of the cylinder which radially faces the magnet unit. The armature winding is disposed on a portion of the armature core which radially faces the magnet unit. The bus bars electrically connect phase windings of the armature winding together. The armature also includes a bus bar module which is of a circular or C-shape extending along the circumference of the armature core. The bus bar module is secured to the cylinder, the end plate, or one of axially opposed ends of the armature core.

Armature

An armature includes a multiphase stator winding assembly that includes multiphase stator windings. Each of the multiphase stator windings includes a plurality of winding segments. Each of the winding segments includes a conductor. The conductor of each of the winding segments of each of the multi-phase windings is wound along an armature core while being engaged with a corresponding at least one of first protrusions and a corresponding at least one of second protrusions, and extending along one of radially inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the armature core. The first protrusions extend axially from a first end plate of the armature core, and the second protrusions extend axially from a second end plate of the armature core.

An armature includes an armature coil including a plurality of coil modules and a base member including a cylindrical back core. Each of the coil modules includes a corresponding partial winding of the armature coil and a back-yoke-side insulating wall formed on the back yoke side of the corresponding partial winding. The coil modules are arranged, on a radially inner side or a radially outer side of the base member, in alignment with each other in a circumferential direction. The base member has a plurality of first engaging portions formed therein and each of the coil modules has at least one second engaging portion formed in the back-yoke-side insulating wall thereof. The coil modules are fixed to the base member with each of the first engaging portions of the base member engaging with a corresponding one of the second engaging portions of the coil modules in the circumferential direction.

A rotating electric machine includes an armature coil having a plurality of phase windings for respective phases. Each of the phase windings is constituted of a plurality of partial windings each having a pair of intermediate conductor portions and a pair of bridging portions connecting the pair of intermediate conductor portions. All the intermediate conductor portions of the partial windings are arranged in a predetermined sequence in a circumferential direction. At each of coil ends of the armature coil, the bridging portions of the partial windings of different phases intersect one another. Each of the partial windings has a mounting member provided integrally therewith for mounting it to a support member. For each circumferentially-adjacent pair of the partial windings whose bridging portions intersect one another, the mounting members provided respectively integrally with the pair of the partial windings are together fixed to the support member by a common fixing member.

The rotating electric machine includes a stator having a stator winding and a rotor facing the stator in a radial direction. The rotor includes a carrier having a disk-shaped end plate section fixed to a rotating shaft and arranged coaxially with the rotating shaft, and an annular magnet unit arranged coaxially with the rotating shaft. The magnet has a cylindrical magnet holder whose one end in an axial direction is fixed to the end plate section, and a magnet fixed to a peripheral surface on a stator side in the radial direction in the magnet holder and having an alternating polarity in a circumferential direction. The magnet holder is made of a non-magnetic material. In the magnet, an orientation of an axis of easy magnetization on a q-axis is deviated from an orientation parallel to the q-axis.

A rotating electric machine includes a field system having a magnet section and an armature having a multi-phase armature coil. The magnet section has easy axes of magnetization oriented to be more parallel to a d-axis at locations closer to the d-axis than at locations closer to a q-axis. The magnet section has an intrinsic coercive force higher than or equal to 400 [kA/m] and a residual flux density higher than or equal to 1.0 [T]. There are no inter-conductor members provided between electrical conductor sections of the armature coil. The armature coil includes a plurality of phase windings each of which is constituted of a plurality of partial windings. Each of the partial windings is formed of an electrical conductor that is multiply wound in the electrical conductor sections of the same phase. In each of the phase windings, the partial windings are connected in parallel with each other.

A rotating electric machine includes a multi-phase armature coil wound on an armature core. The armature coil is formed of electrical conductor groups each being a bundle of electrical conductor segments and having a pair of leg portions and a connecting portion that connects the leg portions. The connecting portion is bent radially with respect to a circumferential direction. The electrical conductor groups are paired such that each pair of the electrical conductor groups consists of a first electrical conductor group and a second electrical conductor group both belonging to a same phase of the armature coil. The circumferential pitch between the leg portions of the first electrical conductor group is greater than that between the leg portions of the second electrical conductor group. In each pair of the electrical conductor groups, the connecting portions of the first and second electrical conductor groups are arranged to axially overlap each other.

A stator includes a stator core having slots, a stator coil comprised of three phase windings, phase busbars each electrically connecting a corresponding one of the phase windings to an inverter, and a neutral busbar star-connecting the phase windings to define a neutral point therebetween. In each of the slots of the stator core, there are arranged K in-slot portions of the phase windings of the stator coil in K layers so as to be radially aligned with each other, where K is an even number. The phase and neutral busbars are electrically connected with those in-slot portions of the phase windings of the stator coil which are arranged at the radially outermost layer or the radially innermost layer in the respective slots of the stator core so as to be circumferentially spaced from one another by M slot-pitches or more, where M is a slot multiplier number.

Stator for rotating electric machine

Each of phase windings includes parallel windings for each phase connected together in parallel, and the parallel windings include power-wire partial windings connected to a power supply side, neutral-line partial windings connected to a neutral point, and at least one of a set of 5-pitch and 7-pitch jumper wires, the power-wire partial windings, the neutral-wire partial windings, and the jumper wires being included in the plurality of partial windings forming the parallel windings. For two of the three phases, each of the 5-pitch jumper wires and a corresponding one of the 7-pitch jumper wires overlap each other, and for the remaining single phase, two of the 5-pitch jumper wires are spaced from each other in the circumferential direction, and each of the power-wire partial windings is adjacent to another power-wire partial winding for an identical phase or to a corresponding one of the neutral-line partial windings for a different phase.
