An image reading apparatus includes an image reading sensor, a transparent plate, a guiding member, a first roller pair, and a second roller pair provided upstream of the first roller pair with respect to a sheet feeding direction. The first roller pair and the second roller pair are disposed so as to nip a sheet in each of nips of the first roller pair and the second roller pair when a leading end of the sheet enters between the guiding member and the transparent plate.

Image reading apparatus and image forming system

An image forming apparatus includes a conveyance guide, a measurement unit, an opposing member, and a holding member. The conveyance guide has an opening and forms a conveyance path through which a sheet with an image formed on the sheet is conveyed. The measurement unit measures, through the opening, a color of the image on the sheet being conveyed through the conveyance path. The opposing member opposes the measurement unit at a measurement position of the measurement unit. The holding member holds the opposing member so that the opposing member is movable between a first position where the opposing member presses the sheet against the opening and a second position where the opposing member is separated from the opening as compared with the first position. The holding member includes an abutment portion that abuts against the conveyance guide in a state where the opposing member is at the first position.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet feeding roller including a core portion to rotatably support the feeding roller on a feeding roller shaft and a roller portion provided on an outer periphery of the core portion, with the core portion including an engaging mechanism to engage with the feeding roller shaft to restrict movement of the feeding roller in an axial direction of the feeding roller shaft. The core portion also includes a protrusion extending in the axial direction and located on an opposite side of the feeding roller shaft from the engaging mechanism. An end portion of the protrusion is positioned at downstream side of a tip portion of the feeding roller shaft in a removing direction of the feeding roller from the feeding roller shaft.

An image reading apparatus connectable to an image forming apparatus includes a feeding roller pair configured to nip and feed a sheet discharged from the image forming apparatus, a contact image sensor configured to read an image on a first surface of the sheet fed by the feeding roller pair, a light-transmissive plate provided opposed to the contact image sensor and having a light-transmission property, a first roller opposing the light-transmissive plate with a gap therebetween on a side opposite from the contact image sensor with respect to the light-transmissive plat, and a second roller positioned upstream of the first roller with respect to a sheet feeding direction and opposing the light-transmissive plate with a gap therebetween on the same side as the first roller.

An image reading apparatus includes a first roller pair forming a first nip portion, a second roller pair forming second nip portions, an image information reading unit, and a sheet detecting unit. The second roller pair includes a recessed portion formed between the second nip portions of the second roller pair with respect to a rotational axis direction. The sheet detecting unit is provided so that at least a part thereof enters the recessed portion. The first roller pair forms the first nip portion so as to nip a sheet in a region overlapping with the recessed portion with respect to the rotational axis direction and to deliver the sheet, nipped in the first nip portion, to the second nip portions.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet stacking portion on which a sheet is stacked, and a conveyance portion to convey the sheet stacked on the sheet stacking portion. The conveyance portion includes a roller to convey the sheet and a shaft supporting the roller. The roller includes an end surface formed on a downstream end side in a detaching direction which is a direction of detaching the roller, an extension portion extending downstream in the detaching direction beyond the end surface, an engage portion formed on the extension portion and engageable with the shaft, and a grip portion extending downstream in the detaching direction beyond the end surface and disposed outside, in a radial direction orthogonal to the axial direction, from the extension portion. The grip portion includes a hole portion penetrating through in the radial direction.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes a drawer unit having a sheet supporting portion, a feeding roller to feed the sheet, a conveyance roller pair, and first and second conveyance guides. An abutment surface, formed integrally with the first conveyance guide, abuts against the sheet and guides the sheet toward the drawer unit. The abutment surface is inclined upstream from a downstream side in a sheet feeding direction toward a downstream side from an upstream side in a drawing direction and overlaps with the second conveyance guide when viewed in the drawing direction.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a first stacking portion on which a sheet conveyed by a conveying portion is stacked, a binding portion which forms, in a sheet bundle stacked on the first stacking portion, a tongue cut out from the sheet, with a part of the tongue attached to the sheet, and a slit, and which binds the sheet bundle by inserting a tip of the tongue of the sheet bundle in the slit of the sheet bundle, and a second stacking portion on which the sheet bundle bound by the binding portion is stacked. In the sheet processing apparatus, a plurality of recessed parts is formed on a guide face of the binding portion, the recessed parts extending in different directions from each other.

A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a cover member including a first guide surface guiding a sheet and capable of switching between a close state and an open state with respect to the apparatus body, a guide member including a second guide surface opposing to the first guide surface, and a conveyance unit conveying a sheet through a path between the first guide surface and the second guide surface.
