The present invention relates to a heat exchanger in which a plate-shaped refrigerant flow portion which provides an internal refrigerant flow path by overlaying two flat plates formed by drawing and a cooling fin are alternately layered; and comprising an opening portion provided on each of the flat plates and which is connected with the refrigerant flow path; and a continuous space for the flow of the refrigerant which is provided by connecting the opening portions of adjacent refrigerant flow portions. The refrigerant which flows in the space is distributed to the respective refrigerant flow paths through the opening portions. The heat exchanger further comprises a means for improving the heat exchange capacity, and this means is, for example, a narrowing means which is provided at the upstream end part of the space in order to uniformly distribute the refrigerant to the refrigerant flow paths.

Heat exchanger

A laminated type heat exchanger including a refrigerant inlet tank and a refrigerant outlet tank. The inlet tank has inlet chambers and a refrigerant passage passing through the inlet chambers, and the outlet tank has outlet chambers and a refrigerant passage passing through the outlet chambers. The heat exchanger includes refrigerant pipes each having one end which is connected to the inlet chamber and the other end which is connected to the outlet chamber, and a refrigerant gate portion for flowing the refrigerant into the inlet tank and from the outlet tank. The heat exchanger also includes a dispersion pipe which is inserted in the inlet tank refrigerant passage. The dispersion pipe is about &frac13; to &frac14; of the length of the inlet tank refrigerant passage, and the sectional area of the dispersion pipe is smaller than that of the inlet tank refrigerant passage. Dispersion holes are formed at the opposite side of the dispersion pipe against the refrigerant pipe, and the size of the dispersion holes increases with the increase in the distance from the gate portion.

Laminated type heat exchanger

A heat exchanger is constructed by tubes, corrugated fins and head pipes, which are assembled together. Herein, the tube is constructed by bending a flat plate whose surfaces are clad with brazing material to form a first wall and a second wall, which are arranged opposite to each other with a prescribed interval of distance therebetween to provide a refrigerant passage. Before bending, a number of swelling portions are formed to swell from an interior surface of the flat plate by press. By bending, the swelling portions are correspondingly paired in elevation between the first and second walls, so their top portions are brought into contact with each other to form columns each having a prescribed sectional shape corresponding to an elliptical shape or an elongated circular shape each defined by a short length and a long length. The columns are arranged to align long lengths thereof in a length direction of the tube corresponding to a refrigerant flow direction such that obliquely adjacent columns, which are arranged adjacent to each other obliquely with respect to the length direction of the tube, are arranged at different locations and are partly overlapped with each other with long lengths thereof in view of a width direction perpendicular to the length direction of the tube. The tubes, corrugated fins and head pipes are assembled together and are then placed into a heating furnace to heat for a prescribed time.
