Provided is a rubber composition for sealing material which contains 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, 50 to 140 parts by mass of silica, 1 to 20 parts by mass of a silane coupling agent, and 15 to 35 parts by mass of carbon black. The rubber component is preferably an ethylene-propylene-diene rubber.

An arrangement structure for a seal member includes: a first member having a first mating surface and provided with a groove portion; a second member having a second mating surface, and configured to move relatively to the first member; and an annular seal member fitted into the groove portion, providing sealing between the first member and the second member, and serving as a partition between an atmosphere-side space and a pressurized-side space. The seal member includes a plurality of first protruding portions protruding toward the second mating surface and aligned from the atmosphere-side space toward the pressurized-side space. The seal member has such a shape that, in a state of not being fitted into the groove portion, a protrusion height of the first protruding portion increases in stages from the first protruding portion arranged close to the pressurized-side space toward the first protruding portion arranged close to the atmosphere-side space.

Arrangement structure for seal member

A seal structure includes a ring-shaped seal member. The seal member is disposed in a seal groove. The case includes a low-pressure lateral face in a cross section of the seal structure, the cross section being taken along an imaginary plane in parallel with a shaft axial direction of the shaft and passing through a center line of the shaft. The seal member includes a first protruding portion. The first protruding portion protrudes from a main portion having a bottom face in contact with the low-pressure lateral face, and has a shape such that the first protruding portion extends toward the shaft as the first protruding portion extends toward the low-pressure side. The first protruding portion includes a tip. The first protruding portion includes a contact region in contact with the shaft. The tip is closer to the low-pressure side than the contact region is.

Seal structure

A split seal ring includes: an annular main body seal split partially in a circumferential direction; and abutment surfaces provided on split surfaces of the main body seal so as to be joined to each other. Each of the abutment surfaces includes: a first inclined surface extending in a direction intersecting with the circumferential direction; a first horizontal surface extending from one end side of the first inclined surface along the circumferential direction; and a second inclined surface extending from an end of the first horizontal surface opposite to the first inclined surface in the direction intersecting with the circumferential direction. With this configuration, there can be provided a split seal ring having a structure that can improve the sealing performance.

There is provided a sealing material for a thin plate member which eliminates the need to form seal grooves as in prior art when applied to a thin plate member such as a cell of a secondary battery such as a redox flow battery, a fuel cell and a lead storage battery, and which provides satisfactory sealing and can compactify and reduce in weight a device to be used and facilitate assembling with reduced cost as well as allowing more cells to be stacked resulting in improving fuel capacity. The annular sealing material for a thin plate member that provides sealing between thin plate members includes a lateral sealing body disposed on a lateral of the thin plate member, and a pair of sealing legs branching from the lateral sealing body in a fork shape and disposed on the front surface and the back surface of the thin plate member.

Preferably, the thermally expandable fireproof material is formed with material having a coefficient of volumetric expansion that increases 3 to 50 times after the material is being heated for 30 minutes under radiant heat flux of 50 kW/mand a stress of 0.05 kgf/cmor higher at a breaking point after volumetric expansion measured by a compression tester with an indenter of 0.25 cm. In addition, the fireproof sheets may be inserted together with rolled steel members or wood members into the hollows.
