A saddle-type vehicle includes a gearbox having a clutch operated by actuation of a slave cylinder, a hydraulic actuator having a master cylinder configured to generate a hydraulic pressure in a working fluid, a hydraulic valve unit configured to control transmission of the hydraulic pressure generated by the master cylinder to the slave cylinder, a master-side connecting pipeline, and a slave-side connecting pipeline, wherein the hydraulic valve unit Is disposed at a position closer to the slave cylinder than the hydraulic actuator.

Saddle-type vehicle

This saddle-riding type vehicle includes: a transmission that includes a clutch operated by an operation of a slave cylinder; an oil pressure actuator that includes a master cylinder which generates an oil pressure on an operation oil; an oil pressure valve unit that controls transmission of the oil pressure generated by the master cylinder to the slave cylinder; a master-side connection pipe arrangement that connects the master cylinder to the oil pressure valve unit; and a slave-side connection pipe arrangement that connects the oil pressure valve unit to the slave cylinder, wherein the slave cylinder and the oil pressure valve unit are arranged on one side part in a vehicle width direction of the saddle-riding type vehicle, and the oil pressure actuator is arranged on another side part in the vehicle width direction of the saddle-riding type vehicle.

A shift drum angle detecting device includes: a first angle sensor configured to output a first sensor output value corresponding to a shaft rotational angle of a first sensor shaft integrally rotating with a shift drum; and a second angle sensor configured to output a second sensor output value corresponding to a shaft rotational angle of a second sensor shaft rotating at an increased speed as a result of a speed increasing mechanism increasing the rotation of the first sensor shaft. A first sensor switching angle where the maximum value and the minimum value of the first sensor output value are switched and a second sensor switching angle where the maximum value and the minimum value of the second sensor output value are switched are set to be different from each other in rotational angle of the shift drum. Such device precisely detects any rotational angle of the shift drum.

A shifting operation detecting apparatus includes a gearbox and a shift change apparatus. The shift change apparatus includes a shifting operation unit, a shifting operation receiving section, a swing lever and a connecting member. A shift operation detector is disposed between the swing lever in an outer shaft section of the shifting operation receiving section and a gearbox case to directly detect a pivoted state of the shifting operation receiving section, and the connecting member is connected to the swing lever from the gearbox case side.

Clutch actuator

An engine clutch device includes first and second alternately stacked frictional power transmitting members and a clutch pressure member for axially bringing the frictional power transmitting members into pressure contact. The clutch device includes an oil supply portion adjacent to a distal end of power transmission shaft. The clutch device has an oil supply structure including a clutch lifter member with a flange portion axially facing the distal end of power transmission shaft, to axially shift the clutch pressure member to release the pressure contact of the frictional power transmitting members. The flange portion has a bowl-shaped portion extending axially to surround the one end portion of the power transmission shaft. The bowl-shaped portion including the flange portion functions to guide oil axially inward along the power transmission shaft and serves to provide an improved oil supply effect to the frictional power transmitting members.

Oil supply structure of clutch device

A gearbox of a power unit includes a transmission, a shift drum provided with lead grooves, a shift drum feed mechanism, and a drive side-shift fork and driven side-shift forks respectively provided with engaging portions to be engaged with the lead grooves. At least one lead groove is a common lead groove with which the engaging portion of the drive side-shift fork and the engaging portion of the driven side-shift fork are engaged at an angular interval, which is a positive multiple integral of a feed angle of the shift drum, with respect to a rotation center of the shift drum. The drive side-shift fork and driven side-shift fork, whose engaging portions are engaged with the common lead groove, are guided by the same axially shifted groove portions provided in the common lead groove, and thereby establish speeds of the transmission.

Gearbox of power unit

A clutch device includes a slipper cam mechanism which releases a back torque by moving a clutch center in an axial direction, and a plunger mechanism provided to the clutch center. The plunger mechanism engages with a movement restricting portion until a rotational speed of the clutch center reaches a threshold value thus restricting the movement of the clutch center in the clutch axial direction, and the plunger mechanism is operated by a centrifugal force when the rotational speed of the clutch center exceeds the threshold value such that it disengages from the movement restricting portion.

Clutch device having a back torque limiter

A sensor arrangement structure includes an output shaft provided with a disc portion at a leading end portion thereof. An output shaft cover has an inner surface portion disposed along and close to the disc portion. The disc portion is provided with ribs, the ribs extending in a radial direction of the disc portion while protruding toward the inner surface portion. A detector is disposed more inward in the radial direction of the disc portion than the ribs.

Sensor arrangement structure

A clutch apparatus includes a clutch outer, a clutch inner, driving friction plates, driven friction plates, a pressure receiving plate, a pressing plate, a movable cam member, a fixed cam member, clutch springs, and a swollen portion. The clutch outer is connected to an input power member. The clutch inner has a first ring plate portion extending along a plane perpendicular to an axial direction of an output power shaft and boss portions extending in the axial direction from the first ring plate portion. The clutch inner is connected to the output power shaft to rotate with the output power shaft. The driving friction plates are connected to the clutch outer. The swollen portion is provided at a base portion of each of the boss portions and swollen from opposite sides of each of the boss portions along a circumferential direction of the clutch inner.

Clutch apparatus

A clutch apparatus including a compressive force boosting member for biasing a presser plate in a direction to compress friction plates between a pressure bearing plate and the presser plate upon accelerated rotation of a clutch inner member. A movable cam member is formed independently wherein the machinability thereof is enhanced. A compressive force boosting member includes a cam mechanism. The movable cam member is separate from a clutch inner member and a movable spring retainer member for movement independent of said clutch inner member in response to accelerated rotation of the clutch inner member. A pressure bearing plate is fixed to a clutch inner member rotatable relatively to an output shaft. A plurality of bosses extending through a presser plate have respective ends affixed thereto. A back torque limiter member has a cam mechanism disposed between a clutch inner member and an output member.
