In a portable telephone device, a desired telephone number selected by an user from all or a part of telephone directory list is converted into audio data by an audio data converting circuit to transmit it to a communication partner, so that the telephone number corresponding to the audio data can be uttered as a voice at the partner side who receives the audio data. Thereby, a portable telephone device with improved user ability can be realized.

Portable wireless device

A radiotelephone apparatus employed as a so-called portable telephone or a car telephone includes an outer casing, a chassis base plate provided in the outer casing and mounting an electronic circuit section containing above all a heated element or elements, and a fan containing section containing a heat sink and a fan device connected in a heat conductive relation with the chassis base plate. The electronic circuit section and the fan containing section within the outer casing are isolated from each other by an air current interrupting device for air cooling heated electronic components while preventing dust and dirt in the air from flowing into portions in the casing other than the fan containing section. An air intake window is provided in the vicinity of mechanically operating portion of the apparatus for self cleaning dust and dirt sucked by the air flow through the normal telephone operation.

Radiotelephone apparatus

A transceiver having transmitting, receiving, and standby modes of operation includes in a first embodiment, a first push button actuable for selectively establishing the receiving and transmitting modes and a rotatable element positionable to select the standby or receiving modes or the inoperative state of the transceiver. An interlocking mechanism interconnects the first push button with the rotatable element. In another embodiment, a second push button, rather than the rotatable element, is depressible for establishing the standby mode. In each case, the transceiver can be changed over from the standby to the transmitting or receiving mode by depressing the first push-button, or by depressing and then releasing the first push button, respectively.
