An image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a plurality of projection units, a screen, and an image generation unit. The plurality of projection units projects image light corresponding to image data with reference to projection axes thereof and is disposed such that the projection axes face in directions different from each other along a first plane. The screen is disposed to intersect with the first plane at a first elevation angle (φ) and diffuses and outputs the image light projected along the first plane at a second elevation angle (φ) different from the first elevation angle (φ). The image generation unit generates the image data for displaying a plurality of viewpoint images corresponding to viewpoints at which the screen is observed at the second elevation angle (φ) on the basis of the directions of the projection axes on the first plane.

An eyeglasses-type wearable device of an embodiment can handle various data inputs. The device includes right and left eye frames corresponding to positions of right and left eyes and nose pads corresponding to a position of a nose. Eye motion detection electrodes (sightline detection sensor electrodes) are provided with the nose pads to detect the eye motion of a user. Transmitter/receiver electrodes (capacitance sensor electrodes) of a gesture detector are provided with a part of the right and left eye frames to detect a gesture of the user. The plurality of pixels uses at least one pixel transistor in a sharing manner, some pixels out of the plurality of pixels are set to have a first exposure time, and other pixels are set to have a second exposure time shorter than the first exposure time. According to one embodiment, a system includes a wearable device configured to be attached to a display configured to display a display image. The wearable device features an optical component set featuring a lens, a first user operable member configured to set an adjustment value relating to a projection angle of the visual image, and a second user operable member configured to set an adjustment value relating to at least one of a color tone or a brightness of the visual image. A position of the visual image is changed by adjusting the projection angle of the visual image using the first user operable member so that the visual image is displayed at a position based on at least one of a shape or a size of the head of the user. The color tone or the brightness of the visual image is changed using the second user operable member.

System and method directed to an eyeglasses-type wearable device

A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a transparent screen; one or more imaging units; and a video projection unit that acquires positional information regarding a predetermined subject included in each of captured images obtained by the one or more imaging units and then irradiates the transparent screen with video light on the basis of the positional information to cause predetermined video to appear on the transparent screen for the subject.
