The invention relates to an image pickup optical system which can make a sensitive tradeoff between the precision of alignment of a decentration optical prism used as an image formation element for an electronic camera or the like with respect to an image pickup element and ease of fabrication. The invention provides an optical prism comprising three optical surfaces to . An entrance surface is suitable for incidence of light from a subject. The incident light is subjected to at least two internal reflections to turn back an optical path. The reflected light leaves the prism through an exit surface to form an image of the subject on an image pickup surface located outside of the prism. A compact, thin and low-cost image-forming optical system having an optical low-pass filter, and an apparatus using the image-forming optical system. The image-forming optical system for forming an image of an object includes a stop (2), a first prism (10) placed closer to the object side than the stop (2), and a second prism (20) placed closer to the image side than the stop (2). The first prism (10) has object-side reflecting surfaces (12, 13) with an aspherical surface configuration that reflect a light beam in the prism and give a power to the light beam when reflecting it. The second prism (20) has image-side reflecting surfaces (22, 23) with an aspherical surface configuration that reflect a light beam in the prism and give a power to the light beam when reflecting it. A low-pass filter (4) for cutting off a high-frequency component is provided between the object-side reflecting surfaces (12, 13) and the image-side reflecting surfaces (22, 23).

Image-forming optical system and apparatus using the same

An optical reading apparatus for a card medium having an optical signal in bar code form written thereon. The optical reading apparatus includes a receiving section for receiving cassette holding the card medium, and a light source for projecting a light beam spot on the optical signal written on the card medium. A reader reads the optical signal by moving the light beam spot in a scanning direction along the optical signal to scan the optical signal, and a guiding device moves the cassette in a direction substantially normal to the scanning direction, as the card medium held in the cassette is inserted into the receiving section. The optical signal written on the card medium is optically read while the cassette is being moved by the guiding device.

Optical reading apparatus

An electronic photographing apparatus including a photosensor for converting an optical image, which enters through an objective lens, to an electric signal, and two comparators to which a video signal obtained by signal-processing the electric signal is supplied. Supplied to the comparators, respectively, are a reference voltage slightly lower than the saturation level of the video signal and a reference voltage slightly higher than the black level of the video signal. The comparators convert the video signal to a binary signal according to the reference voltages. The binary signals are supplied to a video signal processing circuit and are converted to a binary video signal. When the binary video signal is supplied to the display of an electric finder, an image which is over- or/and underexposed is displayed on the display. When the binary signal is supplied to an automatic exposure unit, the exposure of the scene is automatically controlled according to the over- or/and underexposure.

Electronic photographing apparatus

An electronic camera has a solid-state image pick-up device for picking up an image incident thereon through an imaging lens. The camera has a half mirror interposed between the lens and the image pick-up device, and, at its lower portion, a screen and a lamp for generating an information image. The half mirror transmits the incident image through the lens, and reflects the information image. Both images are synthesized, and a superposed image becomes incident on the image pick-up device.

In a method of photoelectrically judging a particle agglutination pattern formed on a conical bottom surface of a reaction vessel by particles descending upon the bottom surface, at least two judging steps utilizing a total particle amount, a thickness ratio, an inclination and so on are applied to the particle agglutination pattern to judge finally the pattern as one of an integral pattern (-), an intermediate pattern (?) and a uniform deposition pattern (+). In this manner, since all the inaccurate patterns are judged finally as the intermediate pattern (?) and are re-examined, it is possible to always perform an accurate judgment for the particle agglutination pattern.

Method of judging a particle agglutination pattern

A reaction vessel having a ring-shaped flat bottom portion and a conically inclined bottom portion is used to detect a particle agglutination reaction. Image of particle patterns formed on the flat bottom portion, middle and lowermost portion of the inclined bottom portion are separately detected by first, second and third light receiving elements to produce first, second and third signals. When the first signal is within a predetermined standard range, the particle agglutination reaction is judged by comparing a difference between the second and third signals with a predetermined upper and lower standard values. Contrary to this, when the first signal is beyond the predetermined range, the judgement for the agglutination reaction is not effected.

A partial injection apparatus is adapted to partially inject a required amount of a sample and to control an amount of a diluent to be added therein by partially injecting while detecting concentration of a test fluid which contains the required amount of the sample and the diluent added in the sample so that a desired concentration of the test fluid can be obtained.

A plate for use in an immunological analysis on the basis of agglutination reaction of particles, has formed therein a number of reaction vessels each having a conical bottom surface. The plate is formed by molding of chemically resistive acrylic resins. Each vessel has an inclined bottom surface and a plurality of concentric protrusions or depressions are formed in the bottom surface to allow formation of a stable basic layer of settled particles, which basic layer can assure the formation of clear and precise particle patterns on the bottom surface.

Particle agglutination analyzing plate

A particle agglutination reaction is detected with the aid of a reaction vessel of flow cell type having an inlet, an outlet and an inclined passage communicating the inlet and outlet to each other. A test liquid containing particles is supplied into the passage via the inlet and is retained stationary therein for a given time period. Particles descending upon an inclined bottom surface of the passage form at first a stable base layer due to regular steps formed in the bottom surface. When a particle agglutination reaction has occurred, a uniformly deposited particle pattern is formed on the inclined bottom surface, while in case of non-agglutination reaction, the particles descending upon the inclined bottom surface roll down along the base layer and are collected at the lowermost portion of the passage. By detecting the particle pattern formed on the inclined bottom surface, it is possible to detect the agglutination reaction accurately.

An agglutination analyzing vessel which is provided on at least one portion of a base surface thereof with an inclined surface which is provided on at least one portion thereof with a plurality of engravings regularly arranged and forming a stable state of settling down particles on the inclined base surface.

A ditube type color television camera comprises a striped filter arranged near an object to be reproduced and including a striped filter element for screening blue or red color light only and a striped filter element for passing all visible lights, both the striped filter elements being arranged alternately side by side and assembled into one integral body such that the horizontal scanning direction of a chrominance signal detecting camera tube is perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of both the respective striped filter elements, and a dichroic mirror arranged between a brightness signal detecting camera tube and the chrominance signal detecting tube and adapted to separate the incident light into a green color light and red and blue color lights. The green light is accepted by the brightness signal detecting camera tube and the red and blue color lights are accepted by the chrominance signal detecting camera tube to obtain a brightness signal and a chrominance signal, respectively. An apparatus for converting a color film picture image into a video signal is provided in which the illuminating light emitted from an illuminating light source is incident on a color film continuously running along a circular track and which comprises an oscillating reflecting mirror, a stationary reflecting mirror arranged near but outside that scanning region of the running film which corresponds to the two frames of the running film, the above mentioned striped filter arranged just behind the color film and the above mentioned dichroic mirror adapted to accept the light reflected by the oscillatory reflecting mirror.
