A spark plug includes an insulator having an axial hole formed therethrough in the direction of an axis of the spark plug, a center electrode disposed in a front side of the axial hole and a metal shell disposed around an outer circumference of the insulator and having a collar-shaped tool engagement portion and a crimp portion located on a rear side of the tool engagement portion and reduced in diameter toward the rear, wherein the crimp portion of the metal shell is made of a carbon steel material having a grain size number equal to or greater than No. 11 as measured according to JIS G 0551.

In a fault detection protecting circuit, an overheat detection unit is provided for each of communication channels on an IC chip, and detects the temperature in each communication channel as the detected temperature. A chip temperature detection unit detects the temperature at an arbitrary position on the IC chip as a reference temperature. A detection unit sets a predetermined ratio value regarding the difference between an overheat protective temperature and a reference temperature based on the detected temperature in each communication channel and the reference temperature, and identifies that the communication channel is in a state before overheat detection when the detected temperature exceeds a threshold value. A stop-control unit stops the output from one of the communication channels when the detection unit identifies that the communication channel is in a state before overheat detection and when it is identified that the communication channel is in an overcurrent state.

Fault detection protecting circuit

A high-voltage wiring structure in a vehicle includes an extending member extending in an extending direction which is a longitudinal direction or a width direction of the vehicle, a plurality of bulkheads respectively provided at a plurality of portions of the extending member in the extending direction, a high-voltage wire extended from a battery for driving the vehicle, and a pipe, in which the high-voltage wire is inserted, and which is surrounded by the extending member. A plurality of portions of the pipe in a longitudinal direction of the pipe are respectively fixed to the bulkheads by welding.

According to one embodiment, contactless power transfer apparatus includes: transmission coil; primary capacitor; reception coil opposing transmission coil through gap; and secondary capacitor. Specification of frequency of the transmission coil and that of the reception coil are equal. At least one of electrical power specification and gap length specification of the transmission coil differ from the reception coil. When the electrical power specification of the power transmission coil differ from that of the power reception coil, the power is supplied from the transmission coil to the reception coil by using smaller one of the power of the transmission coil and of the reception coil as maximum power. When the gap length specification of the transmission coil differs from that of the reception coil, the transmission coil opposes the reception coil through the gap length, which is the specification of the transmission coil.

Contactless power transfer apparatus

A contactless power transfer core used for a power transmission coil or a power reception coil of a contactless power transfer apparatus includes: a winding core part wound by an electric wire; and a magnetic pole core part constituting a magnetic pole portion provided at both sides of the winding core part. A height of the uppermost part of a ferrite plate arranged on a face of the magnetic pole core part at a side opposing a counterpart coil is equal to or greater than a height of an outer circumference of the electric wire wound around the winding core part, and a height of the ferrite plate of a face at a side not opposing the counterpart coil is lower than the height of the outer circumference of the electric wire wound around the winding core.

A half-bridge inverter is used for a high frequency alternating current power supply to be connected to a primary side of a contactless power transformer, and a voltage-doubler rectifier is used to convert a secondary-side alternating current output of the contactless power transformer into a direct current.

Contactless power transfer system

A spark plug has a metal shell and a ground electrode joined at a base end portion thereof to the metal shell and includes a surface layer and a core higher in thermal conductivity than the surface layer. The core includes a first core member and a second core member. A weld region, where the ground electrode is joined to the metal shell, has an undulating shape. A distance between frontmost and rearmost ends of a part of the weld region in contact with the first core member in the axis direction is 0.15 mm or more.

Provided is a technique which realizes securement of gas-tightness and suppression of loosening of a gasket. A spark plug includes a tubular metallic shell extending in an axial direction, and an annular gasket provided around the metallic shell. The gasket is solid and contains copper as a main component and nickel in an amount of 0.1 wt. % or more. The gasket has a maximum thickness of 0.4 mm or more in the axial direction, and the gasket has a Vickers hardness of 30 HV to 150 HV.

An insulated wire uses a resin composition. The insulated wire includes a conductor; and an insulating material provided on the conductor, the insulating material includes a polyester resin in 100 parts by weight, a non-bromine flame retardant agent in 1-30 parts by weight, a polyorganosiloxane core-graft copolymer in 1-50 parts by weight, an inorganic porous filler in 0.1-50 parts by weight; and a hydrolysis resistance modifier in 0.05-10 parts by weight.

Spark plug for internal combustion engine and method of manufacturing the same

Provided is a contactless power transfer device for a moving object. Each of a power transmission coil and a power receiving coil comprises an H-shaped core, and first, second and third search coils are installed on a magnetic pole object of the H-shaped core of the power transmission coil. A y-direction positional deviation between the power transmission coil and the power receiving coil is detected using voltages measured at the first and second search coils, and an x-direction positional deviation is detected using voltages measured at the third search coils.

Contactless power transfer device for moving object

A collision determination apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed. The collision determination apparatus includes: a chamber member that is arranged in a bumper and has therein a chamber space; a main sensor that senses pressure of the chamber space; a safing sensor that senses the pressure of the chamber space independently of the main sensor; and a vehicle speed sensor that senses a speed of the vehicle. The collision determination apparatus detects an occurrence of a collision between an object and a bumper and determines whether the collision necessitates activation of the protection apparatus based on sensing results of the main sensor, the safing sensor and the vehicle speed sensor.

The surface layer has a thickness of 0.2 to 0.4 mm at a specific position that is located 1 mm from the base end portion. The spark plug satisfies the following condition: W1&#x2267;W2&#xd7;1.55&#x2212;(W3+0.25) where W1 (mm) is a width of the metal shell at a weld region of the metal shell joined with the base end portion in a specific direction that extends perpendicular to the axis direction through a center line of the ground electrode; W2 (mm) is a thickness of the ground electrode at the specific position in the specific direction; and W3 (mm) is a thickness of the surface layer at the specific position in the specific direction.
