A printer includes a storing unit configured to store liner-less roll paper formed by winding, in a roll shape, continuous paper including an adhesive surface on a rear surface of a printing surface. The printer includes a conveying unit configured to draw out one end of the continuous paper in the roll paper from the roll paper in an unwinding manner and convey a sheet portion that is the drawn-out continuous paper in a sheet form. The printer includes a vibrating unit configured to apply vibration to a contact point of the sheet portion and an external circumferential surface of the roll paper, the external circumferential surface adhering to the adhesive surface of the sheet portion.

In accordance with an embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises an image forming section configured to form an image on a sheet; a sheet discharge port through which the sheet is discharged; a sheet conveyance roller configured to convey the sheet to the sheet discharge port; a movable sheet guide, arranged in such a manner that an imaginary line connecting a portion contacting the sheet of the sheet conveyance roller with the sheet discharge port passes through a cross-sectional area, configured to be capable of moving in a direction away from a surface of the sheet; and a guide sensor configured to detect movement of the movable sheet guide.

A recording disk is to be mounted on a hub. A base rotatably supports the hub through a bearing. A stator core is fixed to the base and includes an annular portion and a salient pole extending radially therefrom. A magnet faces the salient pole radially and is rotated with the hub. The magnet has a plurality of magnetic poles in the circumferential direction such that each of the plurality of magnetic poles faces the salient pole. The salient pole includes a rod-shaped body around which a wire is wound and a tooth portion that is provided radially outside the rod-shaped body and extends circumferentially. The circumferential end located at the end in the circumferential direction of the tooth portion is located radially inside a circumscribed circle passing through the tip located at the radially outermost end of the tooth portion.

A recording and erasure of a visible image on a reversible heat-sensitive recording medium can be repeatedly performed in a stable condition without failure. The visible image is recorded by a thermal recording head on a display area of the recording medium. The recording medium has a non-display area other than the display area. The visible image is erased by providing heat from a thermal erasing head. The thermal erasing head contacts the non-display area before the thermal erasing head contacts the display area so that dirt adhering on the thermal erasing head is removed by friction between the thermal erasing head and the non-contact area of the recording medium.

Recording method and apparatus for positively erasing an image recorded

A recording and erasure of a visible image on a reversible heat-sensitive recording medium can be repeatedly performed in a stable condition without failure. The visible image is recorded by a thermal recording head on the reversible heat-sensitive recording medium. The recording medium is provided with an unheated area which is not exposed to heat. The visible image is erased by providing heat by a thermal erasing head. The reversible heat-sensitive recording medium is provided with an unheated area which is unheated by the thermal erasing head. The unheated area substantially extends along at least one of sides of the reversible heat-sensitive recording medium. The unheated area prevents the reversible heat-sensitive recording medium from being warped when a erasing operation is repeated many times.

The thermal head supporting device of the invention comprises a pair of positioning members disposed at both sides of a platen, a head press/release mechanism movable toward and away from the platen, and a head unit coupled with the head press/release mechanism. The positioning members are disposed coaxially with the platen. The head unit is formed of a head supporting member removably coupled to the head press/release mechanism with a predetermined play, a thermal head supported on the head supporting member and having a plurality of heating elements arranged in a straight line thereon and in confronting relationship with the platen, and a pair of engagement members attached to both sides of the thermal head adjustably for position, and each of the engagement members has a cutting formed therein allowing each positioning member to be removably fitted therein.

According to the invention, in a method of drawing patterns by use of an energy beam, the amount of drawing data is reduced, the irregularity of an array of patterns is prevented, and the patterns are drawn with great accuracy. In a method of drawing a pattern including a plurality of patterns, the amount of drawing data is reduced and the pattern can be drawn enlarged or reduced at a given scale in X-axis direction and/or Y-axis direction. In a method and apparatus for depicting a circuit pattern on an article such as a semiconductor wafer, glass mask or a reticle supported by a stage in an evacuated casing with an electron beam, the article is disposed in a magazine contained in a sealable chamber communicated with the evacuated chamber. The article is contacted with a heat adjusting member to adjust the temperature thereof. After matching the level of the article with that of the stage, the article is loaded on the stage.

A blasting nozzle structure for wet-blasting of an abrasive slurry, which structure includes a body having substantially parallel first and second passages for flow therethrough of pressurized air and abrasive slurry, respectively. A nozzle member extends longitudinally of the member and defines a longitudinally elongated but narrow slitlike opening which opens transversely from the slurry passage for permitting discharge of a thin curtainlike stream of abrasive material. An air nozzle member is also fixed to the body part and defines a narrow slitlike flow opening threrthrough, the latter extending transversely from the air passage through the slurry passage for directing a thin curtainlike jet of air into the slurry passage directly adjacent the upstream end of the main discharge slit.
