A lubricating oil feeding apparatus of an internal combustion engine can adjust an amount of oil fed to each bearing and provides for a reduced number of parts for a shaft portion structure of a starter driven gear. In the engine, a balancer shaft is synchronously rotated with a crankshaft. The crankshaft and the balancer shaft are rotatably supported on a split surface of a crankcase by plain bearings. Parallel oil passages communicate with oil holes provided in the plain bearings for exclusively feeding lubricating oil to at least the crankshaft and the balancer shaft. The opening areas of the oil holes provided in the plain bearings of the balancer shaft are smaller than the oil holes provided in the plain bearings of the crankshaft. An outer portion of a starter one-way clutch can also be integrally fitted on a rotor. A driven gear of the starter is connected to a starter drive gear of a starter motor by intermediate gears. The diameter D.sub.b of a starter driven gear bearing portion of the crankshaft is the same as the diameter D.sub.a of a supporting portion of the crankshaft. A starter driven gear of the starter one-way clutch is fitted to the starter driven gear bearing portion of the crankshaft by a slide bearing to be freely rotated relative to the starter driven gear bearing portion. A lead groove is provided on the inner surface of the bearing for positively feeding oil to the receiving surface of the slide bearing.

A cooler for a belt type stageless transmission in a vehicle in which a transmission casing is provided on one side of an engine body, and a belt type stageless transmission for operatively connecting between a crank shaft of the engine body and an output shaft supported in the transmission casing is housed in the transmitted casing, wherein a centrifugal fan for sucking the open air into the transmission casing is provided on either one of a pair of pulley halves of a variable diameter pulley of the transmission and an axial flow fan for guiding the sucked-in open air in the axial direction of the variable diameter pulley is provided on the other pulley half; wherein an air intake port is opened in the front portion of the transmission casing in the vicinity of the centrifugal fan and an air exhaust port is in the rear portion of the transmission casing, and a guide plate for guding the air flowing along the lower surface of the transmission casing so as to peel it off from the lower surface is further provided on the rear portion of the transmission casing below the air exhaust port; and further wherein an air passage through which the running air can flow is defined between the engine body and the transmission casing.

Cooler for a belt type stageless transmission

A stand device for two-wheeled vehicles having a rear fork pivotable with respect to a vehicle body, including a main stand member pivoted at a base end thereof to the vehicle body frame. The stand device includes a roller which is supported by either the main stand member or the rear fork, and a cam member having a cam surface for abutment and engagement with the roller is attached to the other of the members so that the rear fork is moved pivotally upwardly in response to a downward erecting operation for the main stand, whereby the main stand erecting operation can be performed more easily than has heretofore been possible.

Stand device for two-wheeled vehicles

An improved automatic transmission is disclosed which includes a planetary gear mechanism and a wet type centrifugally operated clutch for controlling power transmission from a rotating input member to an output member. The clutch is connected to the input member for integral rotation therewith and disposed in a casing at a location close to the planetary gear mechanism. A drive chain for transmitting power from the output member to a driven member is disposed in the casing at a location close to the planetary gear mechanism on the opposite side of the clutch. One or both of the clutch and the chain is/are immersed in a lubricating oil sealingly contained in the casing so that the lubricating oil is scooped up by means of the clutch or chain in accordance with the rotation of the input member so as to be supplied to the planetary gear mechanism.
