A base unit that performs DECT communication with a cordless telephone under the control of the base unit and a repeater under the control of the base unit, the base unit including a controller that generates first slot information to which the cordless telephone refers when the cordless telephone accesses the base unit and second slot information to which the repeater refers when the repeater accesses the base unit and a radio section that transmits the first slot information to the cordless telephone and the second slot information to the repeater, wherein the controller generates the first slot information representing that access to a first slot group out of a plurality of slots in a predetermined period is restricted and generates the second slot information representing that access to a remaining second slot group out of the plurality of slots excluding the first slot group is restricted.

Base unit and repeater

A cordless telephone that establishes a call with a telephone of a destination via a base unit includes a controller and a radio unit. The controller modulates control data for controlling radio communication and voice data to be transmitted to the telephone, and stores a modulation control signal of the control data and a modulation voice signal of the voice data in a half slot of a Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) system. The radio unit transmits, by radio, the half slot to the base unit.

Data is transferred between a DECT terminal and an LTE base station. A base unit includes a DECT communication unit and an LTE communication unit, the DECT communication unit performing DECT communication with a DECT terminal, and the LTE communication unit transmitting and receiving data with the DECT communication unit and performing LTE communication with an LTE carrier gateway through an LTE base station. Communication system for transferring data between DECT terminal and wide area wireless base station

There is provided a base station device capable of achieving synchronization in a wired manner between base station devices in IP-DECT. Thus, according to the base station device, in slave base station devices, synchronization control unit hardware that is connected to Ethernet (registered trademark), and outputs timestamp information and synchronization pulses which includes interval pulses and wide pulses, synchronization control unit software that generates frame numbers based on the timestamp information, and a wireless timing control unit that receives the synchronization pulses generated in the synchronization control unit hardware and the frame numbers generated in the synchronization control unit software, and performs timing control for performing wireless communication with IP-DECT client terminals are provided. The wireless timing control unit includes a frame counter, and the frame counter is updated using the frame numbers with the wide pulses as triggers.

Provided is a synchronization establishment method capable of reducing the time required to establish synchronization in a slave station without putting an unnecessary load on a master station. In the synchronization establishment method, a one-second cycle of a message is divided into 100 time slots including slot '0' to slot '99'; ten slots including slot &#x201c;90&#x201d; to slot &#x201c;99&#x201d; as some of the slots are allocated to a fast synchronization establishment mode; and, in the fast synchronization establishment mode, messages such as Sync2, Delay_Req, and Delay_Resp are transmitted and received between the master station and the slave station so that the slave station establishes synchronization.

Synchronization establishment method

A communication apparatus is provided that can improve synchronization precision between multiple communication apparatuses. For this reason, the communication apparatus that communicates with a different communication apparatus over a network includes a slot control unit that generates multiple slots for communicating a synchronization message, and allocates each slot to the communication apparatus and the different communication apparatus; and a communication unit that communicates the synchronization message between the communication apparatus and the different apparatus, using the each slot that is allocated.

A base station apparatus includes a wireless communication unit, a wired communication unit, and a communication timing correction unit. If the wireless communication unit fails to receive a synchronization signal from another base station apparatus at given reception timing, the wired communication unit transmits a synchronization state confirmation signal for confirming a synchronization state between the base station and another base station apparatus, and receives a synchronization state response signal including a determination result of the synchronization state. The communication timing correction unit corrects a communication timing based on the synchronization state response signal.

A spread spectrum communications apparatus for synchronizing a received spread spectrum modulated signal and a de-spreading code, and its synchronization acquisition method are disclosed. In the first synchronization acquisition operation, the phase of the de-spreading code is sequentially changed finely depending on the number of chips, and the correlation value of the spread spectrum modulated signal and de-spreading code is detected. Further, the maximum value and average of the correlation value for the number of times of detection are determined. When the maximum value is judged to be larger than the sum of the average and a specified threshold level, the first acquisition operation is completed. Consequently, the process is advanced to a second synchronization acquisition operation for determining the phase for establishing the synchronization by changing finely the phase of the de-spreading code before and after the phase corresponding to the maximum value.

Spread spectrum communication apparatus and synchronization acquisition method therein

A spread-spectrum communication apparatus includes an analog modulator and demodulator for modulating and demodulating information in its transmitter and receiver respectively. The apparatus also includes a spreader and de-spreader for modulating and demodulating a spread-spectrum signal respectively in its transmitter and receiver. This structure widens a dynamic range of the RSSI with an inexpensive and simple circuit. This structure also allows the apparatus to operate in a stable manner against an intense input signal, to detect an &ldquo;out of sync&rdquo; in a highly reliable manner and move immediately to a &ldquo;sync-tracking mode&rdquo;.
