A liquid container to be mounted on a liquid discharge apparatus includes a casing, a pouch, and a spout. The pouch is removable and contained in the casing. The spout is connected to the pouch. The casing has a rigidity that is higher than a rigidity of the pouch. The pouch and the spout each have a dimension in a direction of gravity in a posture of the liquid container that is taken when the liquid container is mounted on the liquid discharge apparatus, and the dimension of the spout is less than or equal to half the dimension of the pouch.

A liquid storage container includes: a storage chamber; a supply port capable of supplying the liquid into the storage chamber; a hollow protruding portion protruding from the supply port; and a plug member attachably and detachably attached to the supply port. The plug member includes: a plug portion for sealing the supply port; a cover portion formed integrally with the plug portion; a pinch portion including a first portion and a second portion provided on the cover portion and opposite to each other; and a hollow portion extending from the cover portion through the plug portion. The plug portion and the cover portion are made of an elastic body, and the hollow portion has an opening on the cover portion side. A width of the opening is narrowed and a side face of the plug portion is deformed toward the hollow portion by pinching the first and second portions.

To provide a liquid storage container equipped with a plug member that can prevent leakage of a liquid from the liquid storage container and can be opened without causing scatter of the liquid, and a liquid ejection apparatus equipped with the liquid storage container. Provided is a method for manufacturing a container including a casing configured to contain a content, the casing including an inner layer having an inner layer opening and an outer layer having an air communication port communicating between a space between the outer layer and the inner layer and the outside. The method includes preparing a casing in which at least part of the inner layer and at least part of the outer layer are in contact with each other, inserting a support column inside the inner layer through the inner layer opening of the prepared casing, and separating the inner layer from the outer layer by supplying air into the space through the air communication port to bring part of the separated inner layer into contact with the support column. The support column includes a columnar portion and an extending portion extending from the columnar portion.

The liquid storage container of the present invention includes a liquid storage chamber, a support part, and a rocking body configured to rock with the support part as a fulcrum.
