A quartz glass plate has a quartz glass plate body and a quartz glass member adhered to the quartz glass plate body through an adhesive layer, where the adhesive layer contains silica, and a sum of concentrations of Li, Na, and K ions, being alkali metal ions and Ca ions, being alkaline earth metal ions contained in the adhesive layer is 10 ppm by mass or less. Consequently, a step with a uniform thickness can be formed, and a quartz glass plate is not easily damaged by irradiation with a light containing an ultraviolet ray.

Buckle device

A buckle apparatus includes an insertion control subassembly press-operating an ejector when a pair of tongue parts are simultaneously inserted into a buckle body for allowing insertion up to an engaging position between the respective tongue parts and an engaging member while regulating the press operation by posture tilting of the ejector when only one tongue part is inserted. The insertion control subassembly includes a frame member having a guide rail part reciprocatively slidingly guiding the ejector along the direction of the press operation while including a stopper part separably coming into contact with the ejector in posture tilting from an insertion allowing posture for regulating movement in the direction of the press operation on the guide rail part.

An object of the present invention is to provide a synthetic quartz glass optical material having a high optical transmittance for a radiation 157 nm in wavelength emitted from F excimer laser and a high resistance against irradiation of a F excimer laser radiation, yet having a uniformity suitable for such a fine patterning using a F excimer laser, and to provide an optical member using the same. The problems above are solved by a synthetic quartz glass optical material for F excimer lasers having an OH group concentration of 0.5 ppm or lower, a fluorine concentration of 0.1 to 2 mol %, a hydrogen molecule concentration of 5&times;10 molecules/cm or lower, a difference between the maximum and minimum fluorine concentrations within 20 mol ppm, and a difference between the maximum and minimum refraction indices of 2&times;10 or lower.

In a method, a light emitting portion of a light spot forming device is formed. The light emitting portion has a minute opening, and a light collecting portion for collecting the light coming from a light source for light spot formation to the minute opening. A light emitting portion base film and a resist film are successively formed on the light collecting portion. A light intercepting mask and a light amount detecting device are arranged. The position of the light intercepting mask is adjusted such that the light from the light source is collected by the light collecting portion onto the base film, and is received by the light amount detecting device, and the amount of light detected by the device takes on the maximum value. The resist film is exposed with the light from a light source for exposure through the through-hole in the mask to form a through-hole for etching. The minute opening is formed by effecting etching on the base film through the through-hole, and thereby the light emitting portion is formed. Then, the resist film is removed.

The first openings (,) are thus used as a photomask to form the second openings (,). Therefore, a large number of microscopic openings (MO) having good product quality are formed accurately and easily as the near field light generating device.

An optical head device which has an optical element and an optical fiber. The optical element is made of a material with a high refractive index and has a planar first reflective surface and a spheroidal second reflective surface. A hole which serves as a light transmitting portion is made in the center B of the first reflective surface, and a concave portion which transmits a divergent bundle of rays emitted from a radiating point A of the optical fiber is made in the center of the second reflective surface. The points A and B are optically in conjugation with each other. The divergent bundle of rays emitted from the radiating point A passes through the concave portion and is incident to the optical element. Then, the light is reflected by the reflective surfaces, thereby being converged on the hole, and is emergent from the optical element through the hole.
