Disclosed are an oil state monitoring method and an oil state monitoring device which monitor the state of degradation of oil used in machinery or equipment. In monitoring the oil state by the oil state monitoring method and by the oil state monitoring device, oil used in machinery or equipment is filtered when the degradation state of the aforementioned oil is to be monitored. By means of filtration, the oil content is removed from the filter which captured contaminants that were present in oil prior to filtration. Light is projected onto the filter from which oil was removed. The projected light detects the color components of the transmitted light which penetrated the aforementioned filter.

Oil state monitoring method and oil state monitoring device

The present invention presents a motor drive device capable of detecting jamming accurately without falsely detecting jamming when a movable part contacts with other members. Jamming by a backrest is detected by judging whether the value of a period of one pulse Pand a period of the next pulse P(P/P) integrated for 150 times (integrated value: 150) exceeds a specified threshold () or not. Accordingly, if the backrest rubs against a backrest of an adjacent seat, and the motor speed suddenly drops for a short period, such 'warp' is not falsely detected as jamming, and only actual jamming can be detected securely.

A sound increase apparatus includes a partition wall adapted to divide an engine room for defining a first engine room space that is located on a side of a dash panel and a second engine room space in which an engine is installed, and a first pressure fluctuation amplification unit inter-communicating an engine inlet pipe arranged in the second engine room space and the first engine room space. The first pressure fluctuation amplification unit amplifies a pressure fluctuation of a first frequency selected from a plurality of frequencies when pressure of air residing inside the engine inlet pipe fluctuates at the plurality of frequencies.

Sound increase apparatus

An amplification device for amplifying suction noise of a vehicle is disclosed herein. An embodiment of the amplification device comprises an intake duct, a connecting pipe, an elastic membrane member and a contact member. The intake duct feeds air into an engine inlet port. A connecting pipe is connected to an interior of the intake duct. The elastic membrane member blocks a passageway inside of the contacting pipe. The contact member is connected to the connecting pipe and includes at least one portion that is adapted to selectively contact a surface of the elastic membrane member that faces the intake duct.

Device and method for amplifying suction noise

A sound increase apparatus includes a first hollow body member that communicates with an intake flow path of an internal combustion engine, a second hollow body member that communicates with the first hollow body member, and a vibration member capable of vibrating in an out-of-plane direction, which is inserted in a connection between the first and second hollow body members and closes a cross section of the connection. The second hollow body member has a plurality of opening portions, each of which communicates with the air.

A reclining apparatus () is provided with a fixed plate () having guide portions (), a shaft (), a rotary plate () having an internal gear (), slide gears (), a cam member () and the like. The cam member () has a pair of hook portions () engaging with a receiving portion () in the slide gears (). The hook portion () and the receiving portion () are formed in such a shape as to move the slide gears () is a direction of canceling a rotational moment applied to the slide gears () due to a backward load applied to the seat back when the cam member () rotates in a lock canceling direction. A supporting portion () preventing the slide gears () from moving in a direction of the rotational moment is provided in an opposing portion between the cam member () and the slide gears ().

Reclining device

An expansion chamber, and first and second volume chambers on either side of said expansion chamber, are formed inside a muffler housing. Engine exhaust is led by an inlet tube to the first volume chamber, and an opening facing the expansion chamber is formed in an intermediate part of the inlet tube. Exhaust in the second volume chamber is discharged outside by a tail tube, and an opening is formed facing the expansion chamber in an intermediate part of the tail tube. A valve is provided for leading exhaust from the first volume chamber to the second volume chamber according to a pressure difference between the chambers. This forms two exhaust flowpaths. A resonance system with two degrees of freedom is thereby formed with respect to exhaust discharged via the two openings and the expansion chamber, and a high noise silencing efficiency is obtained.

Automobile exhaust noise silencer

A base plate is formed having a pair of guide projections projecting in the thickness direction thereof and an auxiliary projection situated between the guide projections. An internal gear is provided on the inner surface of an offset portion that is formed on a movable arm. An external gear on a latch member is in mesh with the internal gear. The guide projections and the auxiliary projection are fitted in the offset portion. The latch member is interposed between the first and second guide projections so as to be slidable in the vertical direction. The latch member can be moved to be disengaged from the internal gear by means of a cam member that rotates integrally with an operating lever. The auxiliary projection is inserted in a hole in the latch member and arranged on a line connecting the end portions of the guide projections.

The inner area of a muffler of an engine is partitioned into an expansion chamber, a first volume chamber and a second volume chamber. An inlet tube and the first volume chamber are connected by a first passage. The first volume chamber and a second volume chamber are connected by a second passage, and the second volume chamber and expansion chamber are connected by a third passage. The flow of exhaust gas reaching the expansion chamber via the first passage, second passage and third passage is blocked by a valve which opens according to a pressure rise of the exhaust gas. One of the two acoustic paths formed when the valve is open functions as a resonator having two degrees of freedom relative to the other path so that a high muffling effect is obtained.

Engine exhaust noise suppressor

A first and second noise suppressing mechanism are provided inside the muffler. Each mechanism is provided with a discharge pipe for discharging exhaust gas to outside the muffler. The first noise suppressing mechanism reduces exhaust noise in the low engine speed region. The second noise suppressing mechanism reduces noise in the medium and high engine speed regions. A valve is provided that connects the first noise suppressing mechanism and second noise suppressing mechanism according to the engine exhaust pressure. In the low speed region, the valve is closed and exhaust gas is discharged via the first noise suppressing mechanism where mainly low frequency noise is eliminated. In the medium and high speed regions, the valve is opened and exhaust gas is also discharged via the second noise suppressing mechanism where high frequency noise specific in these regions is also eliminated. Further, by the increased exhaust cross-sectional area, power drop due to increase of back pressure in the muffler in the high speed region, is prevented.

Automobile exhaust noise suppressor

A plurality of chambers are partitioned in a muffler by a baffle board. The muffler is provided with an exhaust gas passage for discharging exhaust gas outside the muffler via these chambers and a valve that bypasses a part of the exhaust passage. This valve opens according to the exhaust gas pressure. Also provided are a mechanism for pushing the valve in a closing direction, and a mechanism for damping the shock when the valve closes. Thus, valve closing noise is suppressed, and exhaust gas noise is further suppressed.

Noise suppressing muffler

An inlet tube leads exhaust gas from an automobile engine to an expansion chamber inside a muffler housing. Exhaust gas from the expansion chamber is discharged to the atmosphere via a first tail tube. A dead space chamber and volume chamber are disposed on either side of the expansion chamber in the housing, and a first internal tube connects the volume chamber and expansion chamber. A second internal tube having a valve which opens under pressure of the exhaust gas connects the volume chamber and dead space chamber. Exhaust gas from the dead space chamber is discharged to the atmosphere via a second tail tube. As the dead space chamber and volume chamber are not adjacent, pressure waves in the volume chamber do not cause a volume change of the dead space chamber, and emission noise from the second tail tube due to excitation of a resonance system comprising the dead space chamber, is reduced.

A resonance detection device is provided for detecting resonance in an exhaust passage of an automotive vehicle. The detection device employs a temperature sensor in combination with an arrangement which enables the sensor to be exposed to a flow of exhaust gas the temperature of which is different from the temperature of the bulk of the flow, when resonance occurs. In given embodiments the arrangement takes the form different diameter conduits and/or vessels, while others it takes the form of a heat exchange device which either heats or cools the gases, and which is disposed proximate the temperature sensor. When no resonance occurs in the passage, the output of the temperature sensor remains stable. When resonance occurs the fluid flow characteristics in the passage change in a manner wherein the gas which has been either heated or cooled by the heat exchange device is induced to flow against the temperature sensor. The sensed temperature change can be used to control a valve via which the resonance characteristics of the passage are modified and via which resonance is attenuated.

An audio signal processing apparatus for processing an audio signal. The apparatus includes an audio signal input circuit into which the audio signals are input, an analyzer which analyzes the input audio signal and generates an output control signal, a sound effect processor which performs a prescribed sound effect processing on the input audio signal and outputs a resulting audio signal, a control circuit which controls the sound effect processor to optimize the sound effect processing in response to the control signal from the analyzer, and an audio signal output circuit for outputting the resulting audio signal.
