An absorbent article including a liquid permeable outer material, a liquid impermeable antileakage material, and a liquid retentive absorbent element interposed therebetween, and formed in a generally vertically elongated shape, the improvement including a pair of fixing elements extending outwardly in a width direction from both longitudinal edges of the absorbent article, each of the fixing element being provided on at least a back side thereof with a first adhesive portion having no separate paper, the pair of fixing elements being able to be adhered to and separated from a back side of the absorbent article through the first adhesive portions.

Absorbent article

In an absorbent article including a liquid permeable outer material, a liquid impermeable antileakage material, a liquid retentive absorbent element interposed therebetween, and a fixing device mounted on a back side of a generally vertically elongated absorbent article body and adapted to fix the body to a crotch portion of shorts, the fixing device has a pair of fixing elements, each of the fixing elements extending outwardly in a width direction from each lateral edge of the absorbent article body, the fixing element being provided on at least a back side thereof with an adhesive portion, the pair of fixing elements being able to be adhered to and separated from a back side of the absorbent article body through the adhesive portions.

A sanitary article which comprises an absorbent layer, a leak-proof sheet and a surface sheet, at least one of the absorbent layer, leak-proof sheet and surface sheet having a porous aggregate of fibers integrated therewith.

An absorbent article comprises a non-woven fabric sheet to come in contact with the skin of a user and an absorbent layer provided under said non-woven fabric sheet, said non-woven fabric sheet comprising polyester oligomer fibers having a hydrophilic group at least on the surface side to come into contact with the skin of a user so that said surface gets hydrophilic.

An absorbent article comprises a base material of fibers a part or all of which fibers are hydrophobic and a water-absorbent polymer a part or all of which is in the form of substantially spherical particles and has been bonded to said fibers to surround them. Fixation of the polymer is secured. Softness of the base material is maintained.

A polymer in the form of particles is water-insoluble and water-sellable, containing carboxyl or carboxylate groups. It has a physiological saline absorption quantity of 40 to 90 grams per one gram of the polymer, a physiological saline absorption rate of at least 8 ml per 0.3 gram of the polymer, a gel strength of 33 to 200 g/cm2 when it has been swollen to saturation with ion-exchange water. A sanitary napkin composed of a liquid-permeable surface material in contact with the skin, a liquid-impermeable leakproof material and an absorbing member inserted between the surface and leakproof materials, characterized in that said absorbing member is composed of, in the order of contact with the skin, a primary absorbent paper, a mixture of a fluff pulp and a super-absorbent polymer, and a secondary absorbent paper, and that the secondary absorbent paper is covered at least partly with the primary absorbent paper.

The invention relates to a sanitary napkin having high liquid absortivity and excellent touch to the skin. The napkin is comprised of an internal absorbent medium and a covering fabric. The covering fabric has an integrated two layer structure wherein each layer is made from different compositions of heat fusible and hydrophobic fibers.

A tampon comprising an absorbent formed by compression molding of fibers having (A) a dry strength of at least 4.0 g/d (grams/denier), (B) a wet strength of at least 3.0 g/d, (C) a wet strength at a 5% elongation of at least 1.0 g/d, and (D) a wet elongation lower than 3.0% under a load of 0.5 g/d.
