A heart beat/respiration measuring device comprising a sensor adapted to be pressed against the human body, and a measuring circuit for measuring heart beats and respiration from the output of the sensor. The sensor includes a coil member elastically deformable when subjected to pressure by being pressed against the human body. The measuring circuit comprises an LC oscillation circuit wherein an inductance component and a capacitance component of the coil member serve respectively as a coil L and a capacitor C for oscillation, and a calculation processing circuit for detecting variations in the oscillation frequency of the LC oscillation circuit and calculations of a cardiac cycle, heart rate, respiratory cycle and respiration rate based on the frequency components of heart beats and respiration are included in the variations.

A component mounting apparatus having a suction nozzle movable with a component held attracted thereto to mount the component in a mounting position on a board comprises a CCD camera for taking images of the component and the mounting position obliquely from above when the suction nozzle has been brought to above the mounting position with the component held attracted thereto, an image processing circuit for calculating the deviation of the position of the component relative to the mounting position based on image signals from the camera, and a control circuit for correcting the position of the component by moving the suction nozzle in a horizontal plane in accordance with the calculated deviation.

The truck (4) is movable between operative successive operative positions, stages, or stations (A,B), and when the truck (4) is disposed at the first station (A), the plate (6), or a section thereof, is preheated to a predetermined temperature so as to thermally expand the same whereupon the truck (4) is then moved to the second station (B) so as to permit the thermally expanded plate (6) disposed at the first station (A) to be tack-welded and finish-welded to the underlying skeleton framework (7 ) while a second plate (6), or section thereof, is preheated to a predetermined temperature at the second station (B). Upon cooling of the heated plate (6) disposed at the first station (A), the plate (6) develops a residual tensile stress due to thermal shrinkage deformation whereby sag of the panel is effectively prevented. The support of the panel (2), including the plate (6) and the skeleton framework (7) at the elevated level or height above floor (F) provides substantially unobstructed access to the undersurface regions of the plate (6) and the skeleton framework (7) so as to facilitate the welding operations. Movement of the truck (4) to the next operative position or station (B) likwise provides substantially unobstructed access to the upper surfaces of the plate (6) and skeleton framework (7) so as to likewise facilitate the welding operations to be performed within such regions.

Method for assembling a structural panel in order to prevent the sag

A preventive method for thin-gage plate deformation in manufacturing flat plate welded structures, which are constructed by welding thin-gage plates and frames and are used for side-plates, etc. in rolling stocks. The said method comprises preheating the whole thin-gage plate in a heating box for thermal expansion, and welding the thin-gage plate and the frame as the plate is expanded.

Preventive method for plate deformation due to welding in flat plate

Apparatus for facilitating the assembly of a structural panel and for preventing the sag thereof comprises an upstanding support structure in the form of laterally spaced rows of longitudinally spaced columns (C) which extend upwardly from a floor support surface (F). Longitudinally extending support beams (B') interconnect the upper ends of the support columns (C), and the structural panel (2) comprising an outer plate (6) and an underlying skelton framework (7) is supported upon the support beams (B'). A radiation heating element truck (4), movable upon laterally spaced rails (8) by means of casters (11), include radiation heating elements (12) mounted upon a support panel (5) whereby the truck (4) is movable between first and second operative positions or stages (A, B). When disposed at a particular stage (A,B), the plate (6) is preheated to a predetermined temperature so as to thermally expand the same whereupon the truck (4) is moved to the next operative position stage (A,B) so as to permit the thermally expanded plate to be tack-welded and finish-welded to the underlying skeleton framework (7). Upon cooling of the heated plate (6), the plate (6) develops a residual tensile stress due to thermal shrinkage deformation whereby sag of the panel is effectively prevented. The support of the panel, including the plate (6) and skeleton framework (7) at an elevated height above the floor (F) provides substantially unobstructed access to the undersurface of the pate (6) and skeleton framework so as to facilitate the welding operations. Movement of the truck (4) to the next operative position or stage (A,B) likewise provides substantially unobstructed access to the upper surfaces of the plate (6) and framework (7) forming the structural panel (2).

Apparatus for assembling a structural panel in order to prevent the sag

A method and apparatus for preventing a sag of a panel, in which plate to be attached to a skeleton is located on the skeleton supported by a support means, both end parts of the plate are gripped by grasp electrodes of a resistance heating device, current is caused to flow through the plate by the grasp electrodes so as to preheat the plate to a predetermined temperature and to thermally expand it, the plate is welded to the skeleton by a welding machine, and a residual tensile stress is developed in the plate by the thermal shrinkage deformation attendant upon cooling of the plate after the welding. In the case where the plate has a cut-away part, electric conduction members for short-circuiting the cut-away part are interposed in this part so as to form electric conduction paths for the preheating of the plate.

Method of preventing sag of panel and apparatus therefor

A method for preventing discoloration of the area around an indentation in spot welding is provided in which the weld zone and its surrounding area are masked with a non-oxidizing gas such as argon gas, helium gas, nitrogen gas or a mixture of argon gas and carbon dioxide gas from ambient atmospheric air and spot welding is carried out in the atmosphere of the non-oxidizing gas to prevent the discoloration from occurring at the weld zone of a metal sheet under the influence of heat during spot welding.
