An electrically conductive connecting member which can be used for a battery having a positive output terminal and a negative output terminal composed of different metals from each other and which does not undergo electrolytic corrosion and reduction in electric resistance and has excellent mechanical strength. This electrically conductive connecting member is used for a battery in which a pair of output terminals are composed of different metals from each other, and includes an electrode section (a bar-shaped section) connected to one of the output terminals and composed of the same metal as that used for one of the output terminals and a bus bar section (a band-plate-shaped section) connected to the electrode section and composed of the same metal as that used for the other output terminal, wherein the electrode section and the bus bar section are integrated with each other through diffusion bonding.

The disclosed electrode terminal, which is used with batteries of which a positive output terminal and a negative output terminal are formed from metals dissimilar to each other, has excellent mechanical strength and can suppress electrical resistance while preventing galvanic corrosion. The electrode terminal () for power output is used with batteries () of which a pair of output terminals are each formed from a different metal, and has: a solid cylindrical shaft () that attaches to one output terminal and that is formed from the same metal as the one output terminal; and an outer cylinder () that connects with the cylindrical shaft () and that is formed from the same metal as the other output terminal. The shaft () and the outer cylinder () are unified by means of metallic bonding.

A bus bar, which is used with batteries wherein the positive terminal and the negative terminal are each formed from a different metal, and which has excellent mechanical strength and can suppress electrical resistance while preventing galvanic corrosion. The bus bar is bonded in one piece by metallically bonding: a cathode connector that is formed from the same metal as the positive terminal of a battery cell, and that can connect to the positive terminal; and an anode connector that is formed from the same metal as the negative terminal of the battery cell, and that can connect to the negative terminal.

A forged product having thick end parts, and a thin part between the thick parts, is formed by extruding a forging stock such that the cross section of the forging stock varies along the direction of extrusion, wherein in any cross section in a direction perpendicular to the direction of extrusion, the forging stock has two thick end parts, a thin part intermediate the end parts and transitional parts with varying thickness between the thin part and each of the thick end parts; cutting the forging stock in the direction perpendicular to the direction of extrusion to form cut portions; and forging each of the cut portions such that the thick end parts of the cut portions form the thick end parts of the forged product and the thin part of the cut portions forms the thin part of the forged product.

A forming apparatus for an extruded hollow section has a fixed die provided with a forming hole having guide grooves extending in a direction tilting against a direction of extrusion, and movable dies disposed to be able to travel along the guide grooves, respectively. The fixed die has a base part bridging between inner faces of the forming hole, and a hole forming part extended from an end of the base part, on a downstream side thereof, toward downstream inside the forming hole. The movable dies are disposed inside the forming hole with a gap remaining between the hole forming part and each of the movable dies.

Forming apparatus for forming extruded hollow section

A method for forming the extruded hollow section using a forming apparatus including a fixed die provided with a forming hole having guide grooves extending in a direction tilting against the direction of extrusion, and movable dies able to travel along the guide grooves, respectively, wherein the fixed die has a base part provided so as to bridge between inner faces of the forming hole, and a hole forming part extended from an end of the base part, on a downstream side thereof, toward downstream inside the forming hole. The method includes the steps of extruding the parallel parts with the movable dies as-stopped state, and extruding the tilt parts while causing the movable dies to travel along the guide grooves, respectively.
