In an approach for reducing economic loss due to traffic events, a processor receives a set of transportation operation information from one or more transportation service providers about a traffic event. A processor analyzes the set of transportation operation information to identify an area affected by the traffic event and one or more users affected by the traffic event. A processor gathers a set of information about each user of the one or more users affected by the traffic event. A processor prioritizes the one or more users affected by the traffic event. A processor determines an alternative plan for each user of the one or more users affected by the traffic event based on the set of information and a priority number given to each user. A processor proposes the alternative plan to each user of the one or more users affected by the traffic event.

Reducing economic loss due to traffic incidents by proposing actions

A method can include obtaining device data for a set of edge devices. The method can further include obtaining a predicted travel path of a focal entity. The method can further include determining, for a first edge device of the set of edge devices and based on the device data, a first proximity of the first edge device to the predicted travel path. The method can further include transmitting, in response to the selecting the first edge device, a workload to the first edge device. Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for configuring and controlling an automated vehicle to perform user specified operations. User vehicle control programs are loaded in an unmanned vehicle to control the unmanned vehicle to perform a user specified operation. The loading the user vehicle control programs replaces base vehicle control programs in the unmanned vehicle. There is communication with the unmanned vehicle to execute the user vehicle control programs to control the unmanned vehicle to perform the user specified operation. The base vehicle control programs are loaded into the unmanned vehicle to replace the user vehicle control programs to return control of the unmanned vehicle to a vehicle provider after performing the user specified operation.

Configuring and controlling an automated vehicle to perform user specified operations

The method provides for one or more processors to receive traffic information and passing vehicle information associated with a portion of a roadway in which a passing vehicle approaches and travels through the portion of the roadway. The one or more processors predict travel positions of passing vehicles, based on the traffic information and passing vehicle information. The one or more processors determine an impassible space within an existing lane of the roadway and create virtual lane definitions based on the predicting and the traffic information, in which the lane definitions include an optimum number of lanes, a width of respective lanes, and a lane type, and the one or more processors transmit the lane definitions to the passing vehicles based on a correspondence between a type and width of a respective vehicle and the type and width of respective lane definitions.

Dynamic lane adjustment for multipurpose roadway zones

A device and related method are associated with a focus vehicle. The device comprises a sensor that senses area information about an information area usable to assist the focus vehicle and an oncoming vehicle to pass each other, a transmitter that broadcasts the area information via a vehicle-to-vehicle network protocol, and a controller. The controller produces an assisting result from the area information and vehicle information related to the focus vehicle and the oncoming vehicle. The vehicle information includes first distance information of the focus vehicle from the information area, and second distance information of the oncoming vehicle from the information area. The device includes a display that displays virtual traffic information representing at least stopping and proceeding of the focus vehicle onto a windshield of the vehicle.

The method can include requesting and receiving external event determination, from at least one external source within a first surrounding area, based on the event. The method includes requesting and receiving external drive plan, from the external source within a second surrounding area, based on the validated event. The method also includes generating an internal drive plan, validating a validated drive plan based on the internal and external drive plans, and implementing the validated drive plan.

Providing cognition of multiple ongoing meetings in an online conference system

Techniques for analyzing data based on the vulnerability of the corresponding device are provided. A plurality of devices are classified into a plurality of groups based on respective measures of vulnerability associated with each device, and a respective weighting factor is determined for each respective group of the plurality of groups based at least in part on a number of devices included in the respective group. An evidentiary value of data received from a first device of the plurality of devices is modified, based on the respective weighting factor associated with the first device. It is determined that the network is unavailable in an area from which the network quality information was received. For a new device, a trajectory path of the new device is predicted. It is determined that the new device is about to enter the area based on the trajectory path. One or more software modules and data are identified. The one or more software modules and the data are sent to the new device, wherein the new device executes the one or more software modules to generate one or more insights from the data.

Delegating cloud-side roles to devices

A device and related method are associated with a focus vehicle. The device comprises a sensor that senses area information about an information area usable to assist the focus vehicle and an oncoming vehicle to pass each other, and a transmitter that broadcasts the area information via a vehicle-to-vehicle network (V2VN) protocol. The device comprises a controller that is configured to collect, store, and share, via the V2VN, area information comprising passing information when on a narrow road, obstacle information when on a wide road, and passing obstacle information when on the narrow road. The device produces an assisting result from the area information and vehicle information related to the focus vehicle and the oncoming vehicle, and a display that displays virtual traffic information representing at least stopping and proceeding of the focus vehicle onto a windshield of the vehicle.

Embodiments generally relate to configuring an application for launching. In some embodiments, a method includes displaying on a display screen at least one application icon and a map. The method further includes receiving from a user a selection of the at least one application icon. The method further includes determining a placement region on the map to which the user can drag and drop the at least one application icon, wherein the determining of the placement region is based on a constraint condition. The method further includes indicating the placement region to the user as the user drags the at least one application icon onto the map. The method further includes enabling the user to drop the at least one application icon when the at least one application icon is over the placement region. The method further includes starting an application associated with the at least one application icon in response to the at least one application icon being dropped over the placement region and in response to a start condition being satisfied.
