A rotation sensor functioning as both a rotation-angle sensor and a torque sensor is provided which, when applied to a steering sensor for an automobile, for example, permits reduction in the number of components and thus in the weight of the automobile and contributes to conservation of global environment. The rotation sensor has slip rings covered with conductive synthetic resin having small coefficient of friction, allowing the contact pressure of brushes disposed in sliding contact with the slip rings to be kept low and the life duration of the slip rings to be prolonged. Further, no metal powder is produced when the brushes slide on the respective slip rings, and it is therefore possible to prevent the formation of unwanted insulating film.

Rotation sensor

A contact type rotation sensor includes a contact brush having a contact and an electrical resistor disposed for sliding motion relative to the contact. The contact brush provided at a side face of an arm portion with a projecting piece has asymmetric shape and asymmetric weight distribution about its longitudinal axis, and is large in moment of inertia in a direction of torsion. During relative sliding motion, suppressed torsional vibration of the contact occurs not only at natural frequencies but also at dispersed frequencies other than natural frequencies, reducing the sound pressure of sliding sound. A stable contact state is ensured between the contact and the electrical resistor, resulting in improved durability.

A golf club shaft comprising a mandrel with a tapered surface as its outer circumference which is wound with three layers of prepreg sheets of high-strength fiber impregnate with synthetic resin. The middle layer is also wound with a separate string member. The inner layer fibers and the separate string member are arranged in a criss-cross pattern running generally in the longitudinal axial direction of the shaft. However, the fibers which are part of the middle and outer layers run unidirectionally only in the longitudinal axial direction of the shaft. No fibers run in a circumferential direction. In addition, the fiber and matrix of the outer layer become transparent after curing. Thus, even when the shaft is shrunk toward the center, no zigzag or wrinkles are generated in the string member found between the middle and outer layers nor in the outer layer fibers themselves. Also, no zigzagging, wrinkling, sagging or whitening occurs in the transparent outer layer which allows the design pattern of the string member to be seen. This increases the strength of the shaft and sufficient clamping stress by taping is provided. Finally, the safety of the club shaft is increased because the outer layer prevents exposure of the fibers and string member which decreases the chance of breakage.

Golf club shaft and production method thereof

A junction structure for electrically connecting a plurality of connection conductors at one end of a flat cable, which includes a plurality of electrical conductors arranged parallel in an insulating material, and electrical conductors of a plurality of lead wires. The junction of the flat cable comprises a first fixing member formed integrally with one of the flat cable and the lead wires, and a second fixing member fixing the other of the flat cable and the lead wires to the first fixing member to thereby temporarily connect the respective corresponding electrical conductors of the flat cable and the lead wire.

A packet switching system for a distributed processing ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) has terminal line control units, trunk line control units, data packet assembly/disassembly control units, voice packet assembly/disassembly control units, a call processing control unit, and an internal bus device for allowing data or voice to be transferred among the various control units. The data packet and voice packet assembly/disassembly control units are shared by all of the control units. The internal bus device is implemented as a packet bus for transferring packetized data or voice, a message bus for transferring non-packetized data or voice, and a call processing bus for transferring call processing data.
