A method for preparing a silicon nitride film with a high deposition rate and a reduced damage to the substrate and/or the underlying layer formed under the silicon nitride film. The method for preparing a silicon nitride film contains the steps of irradiating a nitride with an ultraviolet light, and contacting the nitride irradiated with the ultraviolet light and a hydrogenated cyclic silane represented by a general formula SiH, wherein n is 5, 6, or 7.

The hot-melt adhesive resin composition of the invention has excellent adhesiveness to both non-polar and polar adherends. A heat recoverable article using the hot-melt adhesive is valuable for processing a joint and an end of electric cables.

A tubular object manufacturing method comprising the steps of applying liquid heat-resistant resin containing an inorganic filler as desired onto an outer surface or inner surface of a core member which is a shaping mold to thereby form a coating layer, solidifying or hardening the applied liquid heat-resistant resin until the coating layer becomes strong enough to maintain at least a structure of the tubular object, and taking the tubular object out from the core member. In the method, liquid heat-resistant resin with a viscosity of 10 to 15000 poise at 25.degree. C. is continuously fed by means of a dispenser onto the outer surface or inner surface of the core member while rotating the core member, and a feeder part of the dispenser is moved in the direction of a rotation axis of the core member so that the fed liquid heat-resistant resin is helically wound to thereby form the coating layer. Tubular objects obtained by the manufacturing method is excellent in thickness precision, less in resin loss, and capable of being given desired thickness distribution in the axial direction as necessary.

In an escape device for an aircraft having a pair of air bags formed of sheet members and a slide surface, the sheet members have a high tear strength and excellent flame retardancy. The sheet members forming the air bags are a rubber covered fabric having a substrate of fabric and covering layers of a thermosetting elastomer which contains a flame retardant. By using a flame retardant in the form of needle-like crystals having a high aspect ratio and a small crystal grain diameter, the flame retardant will not aggregate in the elastomer, but will be uniformly dispersed, so that the bond strength between the substrate and the covering layer is high.

Escape device for aircraft

An escape device for aircrafts having a pair of gas bags and a slide member joined to the gas bags. The escape device provides a high resistance to radiation heat and reliable bonding between the sheet members. The sheet member forming the gas bags and the slide member includes a substrate of fabric and covering layers of thermosetting elastomer containing a flame retardant. The sheet members forming the gas bags are bonded together before the covering layer of one of the sheet members hardens completely. A protective layer is provided on the outer surface of the joint portion between the sheet members to reflect radiation heat.

This invention relates to an automation system for nuclear power plants. This system comprises operation plan making means, supervisory control means, and control means for controlling controlled objects. The operation plan making means makes a new operation plan to restore a normal operating condition which existed before the plant condition deviated from the normal operation range. The supervisory control means outputs control commands according to an operation plan under abnormal condition when the plant operating condition deviates from the normal operation range. Furthermore, the supervisory control means outputs control commands according a new operation plan prepared by the operation plan making means after an operation according to an operation plan under abnormal condition has been finished. The control means for controlling controlled objects controls the controlled objects according to control commands output from the supervisory control means.

A self-diagnostic circuit comprises a plurality logic of circuits to be diagnosed and a plurality of first and second storage circuits provided for the logic circuits respectively. The first storage circuits have outputs which indicate whether or not the corresponding logic circuits are being diagnosed. The first and second storage circuits and logic circuits have a sequential diagnostic operation mode in which logic circuits are sequentially diagnosed according to a diagnosis starting signal, and a scan operation mode in which a specific one among the logic circuits is selected and diagnosed. The scan operation mode is realized during the supply of the diagnosis starting signal and by supplying selection signals that select the specific one among the logic circuits.
