Provided are, an electric motor assembly capable of preventing a sealant from leakage through a lead-wire drawing portion, and an electric motor manufacturing method with use of the electric motor assembly. The electric motor assembly includes a rotor, a stator, a casing, a partition wall with through-holes, plugs made of a highly elastic material and including a tapered outer peripheral surface to be fitted into the through-holes, and lead wires connected to the stator. The plugs surround lead-wire insertion holes. A sealant is injected into the casing in a state that the lead wires are drawn through the lead-wire insertion holes. The injection pressure presses the plugs outwardly to bring the outer peripheral surfaces of the plugs into close contact with the inner peripheral surface surrounding the through-holes and elastically deforms the plugs in a diameter-reduction direction to cause the plugs to close the lead-wire insertion holes.

A control unit as a hybrid device is provided on a right side deck of an upper slewing body. The control unit has a quadrangular shape in a plan view thereof, and both electric wires and liquid pipelines for cooling or heating the control unit are connected to the control unit. An object of the present invention is to provide an inverter device for driving an electric motor, which allows control stability and efficiency to be ensured over a wide region of the speed of the electric motor. The inverter device includes a rotational-speed detection section which detects a rotational speed of the electric motor, a carrier-frequency calculation section which calculates a carrier frequency on the basis of the detected rotational speed, and a carrier-frequency switching section which switches, on the basis of the calculated carrier frequency, the carrier frequency used for performing PWM control on the electric motor. The carrier-frequency calculation section calculates, as the carrier frequency, a frequency increased with an increase in the electric-motor rotational speed detected by the rotational-speed detection section.

The current controllersupplies only a d-axis current to the motor M according to a discharge command. If the rotation of the motor M is detected by the rotation detectorat the time of discharging the electric accumulator E, the current controllercontrols the d-axis current so as to suppress the rotation of the motor M.

Provided is a motor including a rotor, a stator having a stator core and a coil, a stator frame, an end cover, first and second bearings, and a heat radiating resin in the stator frame. The coil includes first and second end portions projecting oppositely and axially. The stator frame includes a peripheral wall and an end wall, whose respective central parts form first and second boss portions holding the first and second bearings respectively. The heat radiating resin includes a first resin part covering the first end portion and closely contacting an inner surface of the stator frame, and a second resin part covering the second end portion and separating from an outer peripheral surface of the second boss portion. The first resin part has a portion between the first end portion and the first boss portion, the portion having a greater thickness than that of the other.

A robot controller for an articulated robot, capable of controlling the articulated robot for the highly accurate high-speed movement of the work along a predetermined route. The robot controller a memory for previously storing functions for calculating position gains and speed gains for the joints of the articulated robot. A detecting operates to detect the present position and present speed of each of the joints during the operation of the articulated robot. A first calculating operation calculates a position gain and a speed gain for each joint on the basis of the present position and present speed of the joint detected by the detecting feature by using the functions stored in the memory. A second calculating operation the calculates instructions to be give to the actuators on the basis of position instructions, the present position and the present speed of the joints detected by the detecting feature, and the position gains and the speed gains calculated by the first calculating operation.
