A hermetic sealing composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a basic composition consisting of from 80 to 99.9 wt % of a crystalline low melting glass powder containing lead and boron and from 0.1 to 20 wt % of a low expansion ceramic filler, and from 0.001 to 1.0 part by weight, in total, of at least one of an .alpha.-4PbO.B.sub.2 O.sub.3 crystal powder and a Pb.sub.3 O.sub.4 powder, incorporated to the basic composition, the thermal expansion coefficient of the sealing composition after firing being from 80.times.10.sup.-7 to 105.times.10.sup.-7 /.degree.C. within a range of from room temperature to 300.degree. C.

Hermetic sealing composition

A noise filter and terminal structure therefor are disclosed. An insulator case composed of a case main body and a cap are utilized, with the case main body including coil fixing projections and capacitor position restricting ribs. A plurality of metallic terminals provide electrical connections to the electrical components within the insulator case and extend out of that case between adjacent edges of the case main body and cap. The metallic terminals are generally flat, with a generally U-shaped bent portion and a connection part extending from the bent portion. The bent portion is fitted into a corresponding concave part in the case main body. The connection part includes hook-shaped projections adapted to hold a wire, and the projections of all terminals are at generally the same level to facilitate automatic soldering.

Noise filter and terminal structure therefor

A noise filter with a socket attached thereto including a case made of metallic material mounting a pair of pierce type (feed through) capacitors and a power input socket having a pair of power input contacts and a grounding contact, a choke coil having a pair of coil windings wound thereabout and a capacitor interposed between said pair of coil windings mounted inside said case, said pierce type capacitors including inner piercing (feed through) terminals and outer terminals, said power input contacts and the piercing terminals of said pierce type capacitors being connected to one another via said coil windings, and said grounding contact and the outer terminals of said pierce type capacitors being electrically connected to the case.
