An electric work machine in one aspect of the present disclosure includes an electric power input terminal, a motor, a circuit board, a first heat dissipation plate, and a second heat dissipation plate. The circuit board includes a first surface and an electronic circuit on the first surface. The electronic circuit controls supply of AC power to the motor. The electronic circuit includes an electronic component that generates Joule heat. The first heat dissipation plate is spaced from the first surface by a first distance in parallel to the first surface. The second heat dissipation plate is spaced from the first surface by a second distance in parallel to the first surface. The second heat dissipation plate is thermally coupled with the first heat dissipation plate. The second distance is smaller than the first distance.

Technique for dissipating heat in electric work machine

A power tool is less likely to generate noise. A power tool includes a housing, a field fixed to the housing and including a field coil, an armature rotatable relative to the field and including a commutator, two brushes that come in contact with the commutator, and a brush holder unit holding the two brushes. The brush holder unit includes two contact rails electrically connectable to the field coil, two first terminals that each come in contact with either of the two contact rails, two second terminals each electrically connectable to a corresponding brush of the two brushes, and a choke coil located between at least one of the two first terminals and at least one of the two second terminals.

Power tool

An electric work machine () includes a motor () having a rotor () disposed within a stator core () and coils () disposed on the stator core; a power-transmission mechanism () driven by the rotor; and an output shaft (), on which a tool accessory is mountable and which is operably driven by the power-transmission mechanism. An electric work machine includes a motor in which a wire is wound around each tooth of a stator in an aligned manner. The electric work machine includes a motor including a rotor and a stator. The stator includes a stator core having a first end face and a second end face, and having teeth protruding inwardly, a first insulator covering the first end face, a second insulator covering the second end face, a rib located on at least one of the first insulator or the second insulator, and overlapping the teeth in an axial direction of the teeth, and coils including a wire wound around the teeth via the first insulator and the second insulator and the rib.

An impact tool includes a motor, a driving mechanism, and a vibration sensor. The driving mechanism is configured to perform a hammering operation of linearly driving a tool accessory along an impact-axis by power of the motor. The impact-axis extends in a front-rear direction of the impact tool. The vibration sensor is configured to detect vibrations. The vibration sensor is disposed such that the vibration sensor is capable of detecting vibrations of a first frequency among vibrations caused in the impact tool, and such that transmission of vibrations of a second frequency to the vibration sensor is suppressed. The vibrations of the first frequency result from the hammering operation. The second frequency is different from the first frequency.

A battery pack disclosed in the present description includes an outer case including a display portion and an opening portion, wherein the display portion includes one or more display windows; a battery cell housed in the outer case; a substrate housed in the outer case, wherein one or more light emitting elements corresponding to the one or more display windows are mounted on the substrate; and a light shielding wall housed in the outer case, wherein the light shielding wall is arranged to block the opening portion and the one or more light emitting elements from each other.

A battery system for a power tool includes two or more battery packs (), at least one battery holder () adapted to detachably engage two or more of the battery packs and a charger () adapted to detachably engage the battery holder and to simultaneously electrically communicate with two or more of the battery packs while the at least one battery holder engages both the charger and the battery packs.

Battery system for a power tool, as well as battery holder therefor, charger, and charging system

A battery pack includes a case, a battery device, an intervening member and a temperature detection device. The battery device may be disposed within the case and include a cell holder configured to accommodate a plurality of battery cells. The intervening member may be provided between the cell holder and at least one of the plurality of cell holder. The temperature detection device may be disposed between the intervening member and at least one of the plurality of cell holder, so that the temperature detection device directly contacts at least one of the battery cells for detecting a temperature thereof. At least one of the cell holder and the intervening member may have an elasticity, so that the temperature detection device may be directly pressed against at least one of the battery cells due to an elastic deformation of the least one of the cell holder and the intervening member.

Battery packs for electric tools

The present description discloses a battery pack capable of being detachably attached to an apparatus including an apparatus terminal having a flat plate-like shape by sliding the battery pack in a sliding direction along the apparatus terminal. The battery pack includes a battery terminal capable of engaging with the apparatus terminal so as to be electrically connected therewith. The battery terminal includes a pair of elastic clamping pieces configured to receive the apparatus terminal when the battery pack is attached to the apparatus and to clamp the apparatus terminal from both sides of the apparatus terminal. In the battery pack, the pair of the elastic clamping pieces extends in a direction perpendicular to the sliding direction.

A charger charges a rechargeable battery pack of a cordless power tool. The charger includes at least one wall that at least partially defines a battery pack receiving space for the battery pack, a first guide extending away from the at least one wall, and a second guide extending away from the at least one wall and spaced from the first guide. The at least one wall, the first guide and the second guide are configured to guide the battery pack to a prescribed position relative to the at least one wall. The first guide and the second guide each include a portion inclined relative to the insertion direction by an angle of inclination such that the distance between the inclined portion of the first guide and the inclined portion of the second guide decreases in the insertion direction.

Charger, battery pack charging system and cordless power tool system

In one aspect according to the present teachings, a battery charger may include a body housing and a power supply connector disposed at a lateral side of the body housing. The power supply connector can supply a DC power to an external device.
