A conductive paste for defogging heat wires of automobile windows contains a silver powder having particle size in the range of about 0.1 to 20 &#x3bc;m, a molybdenum compound such as molybdenum silicide or molybdenum boride, a glass frit having s softening point of 730&#xb0; C. or less and an organic vehicle. The conductive paste can uniformly darken the conductive heat wire regions of the automobile window without producing any harmful substances. Also, it can ensure sufficient bonding strength of lead wires.

Conductive paste

A conductive paste for defogging heat wires of automobile windows contains a silver powder having particle size in the range of about 0.1 to 20 &mgr;m, a molybdenum compound such as molybdenum silicide or molybdenum boride, a glass frit having a softening point of 730&deg; C. or less and an organic vehicle. The conductive paste can uniformly darken the conductive heat wire regions of the automobile window without producing any harmful substances. Also, it can ensure sufficient bonding strength of lead wires.

A capacitor including a ceramic body, a glass layer formed on each of opposite surfaces of the ceramic body, and a first metallic layer formed on the glass layer. Preferably, a lead terminal is connected to the first metallic layer or to a second metallic layer which is provided on the first metallic layer, by use of solder containing Pb in an amount of 2.5 wt. % or less. Preferably, a lead terminal which is plated with a substance containing Pb in an amount of 5 wt. % or less is soldered onto the first metallic layer or the second metallic layer.

Capacitor

A pulse generating capacitor is provided in which a capacitor element has electrodes provided on the front and rear faces thereof, and lead terminals connected to the electrodes by means of bonding members. The bonding members can contain Ag as a major component with a ZrO powder added thereto at a content of about 20% to 60% by volume. The capacitor solves a problem of crack generation on the capacitor element in response to thermal cycling, while maintaining the effects of preventing its pulse voltage from being decreased and enhancing the bonding strength of its lead terminals.

Pulse generating capacitor

The present invention provides a piezoelectric ceramic having a low mechanical quality coefficient Qm and excellent heat resistance, for example, a piezoelectric ceramic for a filter element which can be applied to surface mounting. The piezoelectric ceramic contains at least a composite oxide of lead, zirconium and titanium, and oxides of manganese, silicon and boron, the concentration of the manganese oxide present in the crystal gain boundary being higher than that in crystal grains of the piezoelectric ceramic.

Piezoelectric ceramic

There is provided a piezoelectric ceramic having a small mechanical factor of merit Qm and excellent heat-resisting properties, e.g., a piezoelectric ceramic for filter elements which is compatible with surface mounting and a method of manufacturing the same in a large amount and in a stable manner. There is provided a piezoelectric ceramic which is a composite oxide of at least lead, zirconium and titanium, wherein an oxide of manganese exists in a grain boundary layer in a density higher than that in a crystal grain of the piezoelectric ceramic and a glass phase exists in the grain boundary layer. It is manufactured by depositing a manganese compound and a glass material on the surface of a piezoelectric ceramic comprising a composite oxide of at least lead, zirconium and titanium and by performing thermal processing thereafter to diffuse the deposited substance in a grain boundary portion of the piezoelectric ceramic.

Piezoelectric ceramic and manufacturing method thereof

Piezoelectric ceramics whose mechanical quality factor Qm is small and which has an excellent heat resistance, e.g. piezoelectric ceramics for filtering elements whose group delay time characteristic is flat, phase distortion is small and which can be accommodated to surface mounting, and a method for stably producing it are provided. Manganese oxide and lead oxide are caused to coexist in high concentration in grain boundary parts of the piezoelectric ceramics containing composite oxides of at least lead, zirconium and titanium as compared to intra-crystal grains of the piezoelectric ceramics. It is manufactured by treating the piezoelectric ceramics by heat after adhering manganese and lead compounds on the surface thereof to diffuse the oxides in the grain boundary parts of the piezoelectric ceramics.
