By dividing a bus bar group into a pair of subordinate bus bar groups A, B, tabs extending from the bus bar group in mutually different oblique directions can be held in a metal mold separately. Due to this, the bus bar group can also be set in a metal mold including a slide mold , which makes it possible to manufacture a connector block with high efficiency.

Connector block for injector

A female terminal metal fixture (2) in which an elastic tongue is prevented from being extremely deflected. A portion between a turned-back portion (25b) and a top portion (25a) on an elastic tongue (25) is strengthened by a reinforcing portion (26). When a tab (4) is improperly inserted into the fixture (2), the top portion (25a) and turned-back portion (25b) on the elastic tongue (25) are supported on stoppers (27) and an auxiliary stopper (29), respectively. Thus, even if the tab pushes down strongly a portion between the turned-back portion (25b) and the top portion (25a), the elastic tongue is not deflected over an elastic limit.

Female terminal metal fixture

A bolt provided on a female connector housing is tightened relative to a nut, provided on a male connector housing, displacing the two connector housings relative to each other in a connecting direction, thereby fitting them together. An upwardly-extending, bar-like projection portion is provided on the male connector housing. A detection member is provided in an insertion hole formed in the female connector housing. When the two connector housings are displaced relative to each other in the connecting direction, the projection pin and the detection member cooperate to indicate a fitting-completed condition, enabling easily perceived completion of the connection. Alternatively, the male and female connector housings include electrically engageable sensing elements that indicate the fitting-completed condition.

Matable connector

A metal elements-resin insert is produced by holding metal elements such as conductive bus bars 8 and the like in a forming cavity 5 of a mold assembly 3, 4 by a support pin 6 projecting in the mold assembly 3, 4. The metal elements 8 embedded in a resin material can overcome problems of corrosion and electrical short-circuit in which the metal elements contact with air or moisture entering through drawn holes 7 formed by support pin 6 into the resin material and can improve the moisture and air proof function. The resin insert is produced by: predeterminately forming preformed portions 13 which embed a main portion of the metal elements 8 in a resin material 1 and have a support pin aperture 7 which does not reach the metal elements 8 and adapts to receive a top end of the support pin 6 and have a positioning protrusion 15 which adapts to contact with the inner wall of the forming cavity 5; inserting the metal elements 8 with the preformed portions 13 into the forming cavity 5 so that the preformed portions 13 are pinched in the cavity between the support pin 6 received in the support pin aperture 7 and the positioning protrusion 15; and pouring a molten resin material into the forming cavity 5 so that the metal elements with the preformed portions are embedded in the resin material 1.

A rubber plug for sealing is engaged with a covered wire, and the rubber plug is prevented from being disconnected when an insulation barrel of a terminal fitting is clamped to the plug. The insulation barrel is curved and clamped along a maximum extent of the outer circumferential surface of the rubber plug, while both end portions of the insulation barrel are overlapped. This invention is directed to a panel-fixed connector which can be readily secured to a panel P and can maintain a stable attached position on the panel P. In the connector, when a lock member 5 is inserted into a clearance 16, a base plate 21 and an attaching piece 22 are inserted into the clearance 16 and an engaging protrusion 19 is engaged with an engaging aperture 30. When the connector is pushed into an attaching hole W in the panel P, a pawl 32 on a locking arm 25 is engaged with the hole W. Then, a slant face 33 of the pawl 32 is not injured by an edge E. Even if the locking arm 25 is deflected, a contacting piece 26 abuts on the base plate 21 thereby restraining a deflection of the arm 25 and preventing the lock member 5 from loosening in the clearance 16.

A sealing structure of a waterproof connector in which a connector housing having a connector housing body assembled with an inner member is coupled with a mating connector housing through a seal ring having a sealing band, comprising: a pair of engageable members each having an L-shaped cross section, which project forwardly from a front end of a side wall of the seal ring such that distal end portions of the engageable members bend in opposite inward directions of the seal ring, respectively; the engageable members each having a front end face such that the front end face is brought into contact with the bottom of a hollow; a contact piece which is provided at a predetermined position of the inner member so as to be brought into pressing contact with the engageable members; and the engageable members being gripped between the bottom of the hollow and the contact piece such that the seal ring is secured.

Sealing structure of waterproof connector

A connector having a fixing member has a cap-like fixing member designed to be fitted around the outer surface of terminal receiving chambers at the front end thereof. In the connector, longitudinal elongate projections are formed on the inner surface of the fixing member in such a manner as to face the individual terminal receiving chambers, and elongated slots extending for receiving the elongate projections are formed in the top wall of the respective terminal receiving chambers in such a manner as to rearwardly extend from the front end of the terminal receiving chambers. Thus, the terminals inserted are held between the bottom walls of the terminal receiving chamber and the elongate projections so as to be fixed in place there. In addition, a locking mechanism comprising locking projections and locking recesses, respectively, formed on the inner surface of the fixing member and in the free ends of the resilient locking pieces is provided for locking the fixing member to the connector.

A connector block for injectors for an internal combustion engine comprises a rod-like main stem section of a heat-resistant rigid resin having a connector portion for a wire harness and a required number of injector connecting portions disposed at predetermined intervals that are molded as integral parts thereof, and tab-like terminals are made exposed from the connector portion for a wire harness and the injector connecting portions, and bus bars are insert molded in the rod-like main stem section for effecting an electrical connection between the connector portion and injector connecting portions, whereby an electrical connection is effected between a wire harness and a group of injectors. A receptacle junction terminal having upper and lower contact sections in which tab-like terminals are inserted for connection and adapted to be accommodated in a terminal accommodating chamber of the connector block is made by blanking a single plate material into a predetermined configuration and holding the plate material so blanked into a hollow quadrilateral prism, and at least a pair of cantilever-like elastic pieces are formed, respectively, on front and back walls of said quadrilateral prism in such a manner as to protrude upwardly therefrom, and the terminal accommodating chamber accommodates the junction terminal with the top portions of the elastic pieces of the junction terminal being in press contact therewith, while a space where the elastic pieces are allowed to be elastically flexible is being provided between the inner walls of the terminal accommodating chamber and the front and back walls of the junction terminal, respectively.
