An antenna device includes a feeding line having a first conductor and a second conductor and an antenna element having a conductive flat plate in which a slit is formed. The conductive flat plate has first and second sides opposite to each other and a third side. The antenna element is divided into an antenna pattern portion and a ground pattern portion via the slit. The slit is configured with a first slit portion apart from a center line towards the first side, a second slit portion apart from the center line towards the second side, a third slit portion coupling the first slit portion with the second slip portion, and a cutting portion coupling the third slit portion with the third side.

An antenna element is disclosed. A substrate is made of dielectric material and has a first face. A first antenna element is made of conductive material and is provided on the first face. A first power feeding portion is made of conductive material and is disposed on the first antenna element. A second antenna element is made of conductive material, is provided on the first face, and forms a loop surrounding the first antenna element with a gap. A second power feeding portion is made of conductive material. The second power feeding portion is extended from the second antenna element toward the first antenna element and is arranged to form an electromagnetic coupling with the first antenna element. A perturbation element is made of conductive material and is extended from the second antenna element. A length of loop is twice a circumferential length of the first antenna element.

Disclosed is an antenna apparatus, including: a multi-layer substrate having at least two substrates in a stacking manner and having a first through hole; an amplifying circuit on one face of the multi-layer substrate; a ground pattern formed between two adjacent substrates of the multi-layer substrate; an antenna pattern formed on the other face of the multi-layer substrate; and a first comb electrode having comb teeth and a second comb electrode having comb teeth, both of which are formed around the antenna pattern on the other face of the multi-layer substrate. The first comb electrode is electrically connected to the antenna pattern. The second comb electrode is electrically connected to the ground pattern through the first through hole. The comb teeth of the first comb electrode and the comb teeth of the second comb electrode are spaced from one another at predetermined intervals in a staggered manner.

An antenna apparatus includes: a circuit board that has a main surface and a rear surface opposite to each other; an antenna element that is formed of a metal plate and is arranged at a predetermined distance from the main surface of the circuit board; a plurality of legs that extend from the antenna element toward the circuit board; a ground conductor that is formed on the main surface or the rear surface of the circuit board; a feeding pin that supplies power from the circuit board to the antenna element; and a plurality of comb-shaped capacitor patterns that are formed on one of or both the main surface and the rear surface of the circuit board and are electrically connected between the plurality of legs and the ground conductor.

An antenna unit includes a board having first and second surfaces opposite to each other, a first antenna pattern, formed on the first surface of the board, for transmitting and receiving a first radio wave having a first frequency band, and a second antenna pattern, formed on the second surface of the board, for transmitting and receiving a second radio wave having a second frequency band different from the first frequency band. The first antenna pattern and the second antenna pattern are disposed so as to be opposed to each other through the board with they electrically disconnected.

In addition to an FM reception antenna element for receiving an FM radio wave and an FM receiver connected to the FM reception antenna element, a mobile object is provided with a first antenna element for receiving a satellite signal, a signal processing unit connected to the first antenna, and a second antenna element connected to the signal processing unit. The signal processing unit processes the satellite signal into an FM signal. The second antenna element emits the FM signal as the FM radio wave that may be received in the FM reception antenna and processed by the FM receiver in the manner known in the art.

An antenna unit comprises a hollow cylindrical member obtained by forming a flexible insulating film member into a hollow cylinder about a center axis and an antenna pattern composed of a plurality of conductors formed on a peripheral surface of the hollow cylindrical member. The antenna pattern comprises a helical pattern extending helically in a direction of the center axis and a loop pattern connected to an end portion of the helical pattern at an upper end portion of the hollow cylindrical member.

An antenna unit consists of an EBG reflector, a single curl antenna supported at a central portion of the EBG reflector, and a periodic structure upper plate disposed apart from a principal surface of the EBG reflector by a predetermined distance. The EBG reflector includes a substrate having the principal surface and (Nx&#xd7;Ny) square patches which are printed on the principle surface of the substrate and which are arranged in a matrix fashion (lattice structure). The periodic structure upper plate consists of a film and (Nx&#xd7;Ny) square patch-like conductors printed on the film. The (Nx&#xd7;Ny) square patch-like conductors are disposed so as to oppose to the (Nx&#xd7;Ny) square patches, respectively.

In a UWB antenna having an upper dielectric member, a lower dielectric member, and a conductor pattern interposed therebetween, the conductor pattern has a feeding point at a generally center portion of a front surface of the antenna. The conductor pattern further has an inverted triangular portion including a right tapered portion and a left tapered portion extending from the feeding point towards right and left side surfaces of the antenna, respectively. A main expanding portion expands from an upper side of the inverted triangular portion. A right expanding portion and a left expanding portion expand from the right and the left tapered portions of the inverted triangular portion, respectively.
