An input device is configured to provide input to various electronic devices. The input device includes: a manipulation unit; a substrate; a tilting mechanism; and a detector. The manipulation unit includes a handle which is rotatable around a rotation axis and is pressed along the rotation axis, and outputs a first signal corresponding to rotation of the handle and a second signal corresponding to pressing of the handle. The tilting mechanism includes a cylindrical shaft fixed to the substrate, and a bearing fixed to the body, wherein the shaft is perpendicular to the rotation axis, and the tilting mechanism allows the substrate to swing around the shaft between a first manipulation position and a second manipulation position. The detector is disposed on the surface of the substrate facing the body, and outputs a third signal when the substrate is in the second manipulation position.

Input device

In a rotary electronic component, the rotor includes a flange with the first face on which grooves are formed radially and the second face. The plate spring with a ring shape in the top view, includes resilient arms and flat parts. The upper member has the bottom face covering the plate spring and the first face, and retains the flat part such that the flat part can be attached to or detached from the bottom face of the upper member while preventing the plate spring from rotating responsive to rotation of the rotor. A spring constant of the resilient arms and the shape of the flat part are set to achieve the state such that the resilient, arms bend and the flat part is partially released from the bottom face of the upper member when the resilient arms go over a position between adjacent grooves.

Rotary electronic component

A rotating operation type electronic component has a rotation shaft and a signal generating section. The rotation shaft has a rod-shaped intermediate section, a cylindrical operation section, and a coupling section coupling the upper end of the intermediate section with the operation section. The rotatable operation section covers the upper part of the intermediate section, and has an operation knob mounted thereon. The signal generating section generates an electric signal in response to the rotation of the operation section. The coupling section has strength at which it breaks when a load of a predetermined level or higher is applied to the operation section from an axial direction of the rotation shaft.

Rotating operation type electronic component, and electronic device including the same

A rotary manipulation type electronic device permits users to obtain a feel of manipulation during rotational manipulations and produces clicking sounds of manipulations to thereby obtain an audiological sense of manipulations. The rotary manipulation type electronic device has a base body with which a rotary body is rotatably combined. An operative element is disposed such that movement of the operative element is restricted by an inside wall of a terminal leading portion of the base body and by leg portions of a leaf spring. Engagement portions engaging an uneven portion of a top surface of a flange portion of the rotary body protrude from the operative element. The leaf spring is brought into elastic contact with the top surface of the operative element.

Disc changer apparatus with vibration free turntable

A disk recording/reproducing device includes a power transmitting mechanism which transmits movement of a pickup while engaging with the pickup, and a disk retaining mechanism which, in response to the movement of the pickup transmitted by the power transmitting mechanism, retains a disk on a turntable or releases retention of the disk. Radially inward movement of the pickup causes the disk retaining mechanism to retain the disk on the turntable, while radially outward movement of the pickup causes the disk retaining mechanism to release retention of the disk. For accomplishing the release of the retention of the disk upon the radially outward movement of the pickup, an operation switching mechanism is provided for changing a position of the power transmitting mechanism to cause the power transmitting mechanism to engage with the pickup upon the radially outward movement of the pickup.
