A terminal is for displacing an insulator of an insulated wire. A housing includes an end which defines a groove for accommodation of the terminal. The end defines an insertion part for insertion of a jig for pressing the insulated wire to the terminal.

Insulation displacement and press connector device

A press-contact joint connector includes: a first and a second connector housings respectively formed with a plurality of terminal housing chambers arranged in parallel; first terminals composed of a plurality of terminals arranged in parallel having tab portions protruded to a side of said connecting surfaces; and second terminals composed of a plurality of terminals arranged having tab contact portions contacting with the tab portions. In the above construction, whole locating means is provided to a connecting surfaces of said first and second connector housings. A pair of tab portion locating means are provided to said connecting surfaces of said first and second connector housings. The tab portion locating means are provided to positions of the vicinities of both outer sides of said tab portions of said plural terminals arranged in parallel.

Press-contact joint connector

A coated wire crimping portion having a pair of grip pieces is provided on one side of a pressure connecting terminal , in which a coated wire is connected to the other side by pressure. This other side includes a first pressure connecting portion comprising a pair of punched blades each having a plated face and a second pressure connecting portion which is an erected piece on a bottom wall between the first pressure connecting portion and the pair of the grip pieces while supported by a pair of side wall portions , so that the coated wire pressed into a slit formed from a top end thereof toward the bottom wall is prevented from moving in the axial direction so as to secure a conductive connection.

Pressure connecting terminal

A connector fitting detection construction in which even if dirt, dust or the like is deposited on contacts, the contacts can be positively electrically connected together, thereby enhancing the reliability of a fitting detection function. In the connector fitting detection construction for detecting a fitted condition of a pair of connectors, a cantilever-like lock arm is provided on one connector housing, and the lock arm can be elastically flexed so that its free end can be moved in a direction generally perpendicular to a connector fitting direction. A short-circuiting electrode of a U-shape, having contact portions provided respectively on outer sides of pair of legs, is mounted on the lock arm, with the pair of legs disposed respectively on opposite sides of the lock arm. A pair of detection electrodes are provided in a projected manner within the other connector housing, and when the lock arm is retainingly engaged with the other connector housing, the pair of detection electrodes respectively contact the contact portions of the short-circuiting electrode mounted on the lock arm.

Connector fitting detection construction

A press-contact joint connector includes: a first connector housing having a plurality of cavity walls formed with a plurality of terminal housing chambers; and a terminal assembly having a plurality of terminals to be housed respectively in said plurality of terminal housing chambers, and having a plurality of carrier portions for connecting said plurality of terminals. In the above construction, notched portions are formed respectively in positions of said cavity walls corresponding to said carrier portions. Carrier cutting holes are formed below said notched portions. The carrier portions are composed of lower surface portions, stand portions and upper surface portions for connecting said adjacent stand portions. Overlap portions which are arranged so as to overlap said cavity walls are formed in positions correspondingly to said stand portions of said carrier portions.

A connector connecting structure of the present invention comprises: first connecting means having a first engaging projection provided on one of connector housings and and having a tapered portion on the side of a wall of a head , a first locking portion provided on the other surface of the other connector housing and the tapered portion being locked to the first locking portion ; and second connecting means having a second engaging projection provided on one surface of the connector housing and including a hook , and a second locking portion provided on the other surface of the other connector housing opposed to any one surface of the one connector housing and having a locking surface that is perpendicular to a direction to an engaging direction, the hook is locked to the second locking portion in a state in which the connector housings and are laminated on each other.

Connector connecting structure

A waterproof connector housing is provided. This waterproof connector housing includes a housing main body, a hood portion for engaging with a mating housing via a stair portion provided on the housing main body, an elastic seal ring for maintaining water-tightness with the mating housing inside the hood portion, and a holding portion for the elastic seal ring on the terminal insertion surface of the housing main body. With this waterproof connector housing, the elastic seal ring can be easily molded, and the amount of wasted raw material can be dramatically reduced. Also, the hood portion can take various forms and be made smaller.

A power shut-off connector has contact terminals,coming into sliding contact with a moving pin,, a mating portion,and a retaining member,of the moving pin, an urging member,and a driving member (solenoid),with respect to the moving pin. One side of a locking member,as a retaining member is coupled to the plunger,of a solenoid,and the other side is pivotally supported with a bracket,and besides the locking member is mated with the mating portion. The solenoid,is provided with a second plunger,symmetrically and by coupling a second locking member,to the plunger,, the plunger may be mated with the second mating portion,of the moving pin,. In place of the locking member,, the plunger,may be pulled by means of a weight and a folded wire. A mating portion,is provided at the leading end of the moving pin,, and the locking member,and a bracket are disposed on the projecting side of the moving pin so as to dispose the solenoid on the side of the moving pin. The locking member is provided with a plastic tip,. A housing portion for housing a coil spring,is provided in the moving pin.

Power shut-off connector

A storage battery terminal structure of the present invention includes: an annular recessed groove that is arranged on an upper end portion of a cylindrical male terminal; retaining projections that are engageable with the annular recessed groove; a housing that is an outer enclosing body of a female terminal; flexible arms, each flexible arm not only having a retaining projection on an upper end portion of an inner wall of a rigid sleeve of the housing surrounding the male terminal in order to release the corresponding retaining projection from the annular recessed groove but also being formed by a pair of slits formed from an upper end of the rigid sleeve so as to interpose the corresponding retaining projection therebetween; and a release button that is arranged on an upper end portion of the rigid sleeve so as to be vertically movable so that the flexible arms can be flexed sidewards and that has slopes on a lower surface thereof, the slopes facing sidewards.

Storage battery terminal structure

A waterproof connector (1) includes a connector housing (2) which includes terminal receiving chambers (3) for respectively receiving connection terminals (41), secured respectively to wires (40), and a wire support portion (4) extending rearwardly from the terminal receiving chambers (3). The waterproof connector (1) also includes a cover (8) for covering the wire support portion (4) of the connector housing (2), and a housing-side seal member (10) and a cover-side seal member (11) which hold the wires (40) therebetween, and achieve a waterproof effect. Housing-side slanting portions (16), each having a slanting surface (15) slanting rearwardly, are respectively formed on opposite inner side portions on the wire support portion (4) of the connector housing (2). Cover-side slanting portions (18), each having a slanting surface (17) corresponding to the slanting surface (15) of the associated housing-side slanting portion (16), are respectively formed on an inner surface of the cover (8). The housing-side seal member (10) has a rectangular frame-like shape, and has side seal portions (opposite side portions) (19), a front seal portion (front portion) (20) and a rear seal portion (rear portion) (21).

A waterproof connector housing (1) includes a housing main body (2), a hood portion (4) for engaging with a mating housing via a shoulder portion (3) provided on the housing main body, an elastic seal ring (5) for maintaining water-tightness with the mating housing inside the hood portion, and a holding portion (5a) for the elastic seal ring extending from the body of the seal ring to the end surface of the housing main body. With this waterproof connector housing, the elastic seal ring can be easily molded, and the amount of wasted raw material can be dramatically reduced. An indicator is also disclosed that reveals when the male terminal has been completely inserted into a hole of the female terminal.

The waterproof connector comprises a connector housing 31 with a plurality of terminal storage chambers 33 formed therein, an inner wall surface 37 which is formed in the inside of the connector housing 31 and on which a plurality of terminal mounting insertion openings 39 respectively in communication with their associated terminal storage chambers 33 are opened, and a plate-shaped gel 45 held within the connector housing in parallel to the inner wall surface 37, while a plurality of terminals, which have been made to pass through the gel 45, are respectively inserted from their associated terminal mounting insertion openings 39 to be thereby mounted into their associated terminal storage chambers 33. In the waterproof connector, on the respective peripheral edges of the terminal mounting insertion openings 39 of the inner wall surface 37, there are formed gel escape spaces 43 into which part of the gel 45 is allowed to advance.

The connector structure is structured such that a plurality of terminal storage chambers respectively formed within a housing 31 are in communication with the outside through their associated terminal insertion passages 59, a gel 47 interposed between the terminal storage chambers and terminal insertion passages 59 is disposed within the housing 31, a plurality of terminals respectively connected to the leading ends of their associated electric wires can be respectively mounted within their associated terminal storage chambers in such a manner that they are inserted from their associated terminal insertion passages 59 and made to pass through the gel 47, and the gel 47 seals off spaces between the housing 31 and electric wires. In the terminal insertion passages 59, there are respectively disposed leader bodies 65 which are so held at the leading ends of their associated terminals as to be able to pass through the gel 47 and also which, after they have passed through the gel 47, can be discharged to the outside from their associated terminal storage chambers.
