A magnetic laminated film used for a magnetic transducer is constructed in such a way that a ferromagnetic film as a ferromagnetic body is made of, for example, a Ni--Fe alloy film, formed on a substrate made of, for example, glass, and an antiferromagnetic film as an antiferromagnetic body having crystal structure of body-centered cubic lattice, for example, made of a Cr alloy film is laminated on the top layer. Further, a magnetic transducer using the magnetic laminated film is applied to a magnetic head in a magnetic recording device in accordance with the present invention.

A magnetic disc apparatus capable of noiseless, high-output reproduction is disclosed. A magnetic head including a magnetic domain control structure having an antiferromagnetic film for applying a longitudinally biasing magnetic field to a magneto-sensitive portion of a magneto-resistance effect film, and a magnetic film smaller in spontaneous magnetization than the magneto-resistance effect film, which magnetic film is interposed between the magneto-resistance effect film and the antiferromagnetic film. A magnetic disc apparatus is thus realized which is high in recording density and usable in stable manner within the operating temperature range.

A magnetic thin film of Ni-Co-Fe ternary alloy containing at most 75% by weight of Ni, 10 to 90% by weight of Co, and at most 15% by weight of Fe, which shows the magnetostriction constant between +2.times.10.sup.-6 to -2.times.10.sup.-6 and shows a uniaxial magnetic anisotropy of at most 10 Oe. The film is formed through the vacuum evaporation of the alloy during which two orthogonal external magnetic fields, directions x and y, are alternately applied over the deposition surface of a substrate. The film is suitable for a core material of a thin film magnetic head with a higher recording density.

Thin film of Ni-Co-Fe ternary alloy and process for producing the same

A method of metallizing ceramics in which, on a desired surface of a ceramic containing a silicon compound, a manganese-containing metal layer substantially free from any minute gaps with respect to the surface of the ceramics is formed, whereupon the resultant structure is heated to a temperature lower than the melting point of manganese to cause the reaction between manganese atoms and the silicon compound. As a method for forming the metal layer, there is a method wherein a deposited film is formed by vacuum-evaporating or sputtering manganese metal or a manganese alloy or a method wherein a melt of a manganese-copper, manganese-nickel or manganese-titanium alloy is formed on the surface of the ceramic under the application of a pressure. The metallizing method can be conducted at a lower temperature and in a shorter period of time compared with a conventional metallizing method.
