A light-emitting-element mount substrate formed by relatively simple manufacturing steps, having a good heat release property, and having a high mechanical strength; and an LED device including the light-emitting-element mount substrate are provided. A substrate body of a light-emitting-element mount substrate is made of a low-resistance semiconductor (e.g., n-type silicon) substrate, and is divided into a first and second individual substrate bodies by an insulating layer. A first front-surface mounting electrode and a first external-connection electrode are formed on respective first and second major surfaces (e.g., front and back surfaces) of the first individual substrate body. A second front-surface mounting electrode and a second external-connection electrode are formed respective first and second major surfaces (e.g., front and back surfaces) of the second individual substrate body. The insulating layer has a shape different from a straight-line shape in plan view.

Light-emitting-element mount substrate and LED device

A variable capacitance device that achieves a desired capacitance even when factors causing varied capacitances are generated is configured such that a capacitance detection pulse signal is applied from a capacitance detection signal generation unit to a driving capacitor and a reference capacitor of a MEMS mechanical unit. The device voltage of the driving capacitor based on the capacitance detection signal and a driving voltage is applied to the inverting input terminal of a comparator. The device voltage of the reference capacitor based on the capacitance detection signal and the driving voltage is applied to the non-inverting input terminal of the comparator. The comparator generates a comparison output signal including 'Hi' and 'Low' values from the difference between these device voltages, and applies the output signal to a driving voltage generation unit. The driving voltage generation unit increases or decreases the driving voltage based on the comparison output signal.

A vibrating gyroscope includes a bar-shaped vibrator and a support member. The bar-shaped vibrator includes a drive element for vibrating the bar-shaped vibrator and a detection element for detecting the vibration of the bar-shaped vibrator. The bar-shaped vibrator has two grooves therein which extend along a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the bar-shaped vibrator in the vicinity of two node points of the vibration of the bar-shaped vibrator, respectively. The support member has a shape in which two arch portions held in a non-horizontal direction are connected by two connecting portions at both ends of the arch portions. The arch portions of the support member are connected to the bar-shaped vibrator at respective bottoms of the grooves thereof.

A vibration gyro which is equipped with an oscillator in which slits are made in a flat-plate piezoelectric board to form a tuning fork section. For construction of the oscillator, driving electrodes for vibrating the tuning fork section are formed in the vicinity of end portions of the slit, while detection electrodes for detecting an rotational angular velocity in a longitudinal direction of the tuning fork section are formed on the arm portions of the tuning fork section.

Tuning fork type oscillator and vibration gyroscope using same

A vibrating gyroscope includes a ring-shaped vibrator having a node. A driver element is provided to cause the vibrator to vibrate flexurally. A detector element is formed along an axis of the vibrator and has a surface disposed such that the surface is non-perpendicular to a direction of vibration of said vibrator while the vibrator remains stationary. In one embodiment, the vibrator is metallic and the driver and detector are piezoelectric elements. In another embodiment, the vibrator is piezoelectric and the driver and detector are metal electrodes.

A vibration gyroscope which is capable of accurately detecting a rotational angular velocity regardless of environmental changes or changes in vibrator characteristics includes a vibrator formed of a vibration element, and first and second piezoelectric elements for detection and a third piezoelectric element for driving. Output currents of the first and second piezoelectric elements are converted into voltages by I-V conversion circuits, or output voltages of the first and second piezoelectric elements are detected by voltage detection circuits, and then the voltages are added together by an adder circuit. An output signal of the adder circuit is monitored by a monitor circuit. On the basis of this result, the voltage or the phase of a drive signal fed from an oscillation circuit to the third piezoelectric element is controlled. The output signals of the I-V conversion circuits or the output signals of the voltage detection circuits are formed into a DC signal corresponding to a rotational angular velocity via a differential amplifier circuit, a synchronization detection circuit, a smoothing circuit, and an amplifier circuit.

Vibration gyroscope

A vibrating gyroscope 10 includes a vibrator 12 which has a regular triangular prism-shaped vibrating body 14 and piezoelectric elements 16a, 16b and 16c formed on side faces of the vibrating body 14. The piezoelectric elements 16a, 16b and 16c having approximately same temperature characteristics are used. An oscillation circuit 26 is connected between the piezoelectric elements 16a, 16b and the piezoelectric element 16c. The piezoelectric elements 16a and 16b are connected to a differential amplifying circuit 28, and the differential amplifying circuit 28 is connected to a detecting circuit 30. An output signal of the piezoelectric element 16c for feedback is half-wave rectified by a half-wave rectification circuit 32, and smoothed by a smoothing circuit 34. An output signal of the smoothing circuit 34 is supplied to an automatic gain control circuit 36, and a gain of the detecting circuit 30 is controlled according to the input signal of the automatic gain control circuit 36.

Vibrating gyroscope having a constant detecting sensitivity

A vibrating gyroscope includes a vibrator. The vibrator is installed on a work plate via supporting members. A work cover is installed on the work plate so as to cover the vibrator. The vibrator, the work plate, and the work cover are installed on one main surface of a circuit board. Both end portions of the work cover and both end portions of the circuit board are surrounded by two cushion members. The work cover, the circuit board, and the cushion members are contained in a case. Though bottom faces and top faces of the cushion members respectively touch a surface of a packing on a bottom board of the case and an inside face of a case body, the work cover and the circuit board do not touch the case.

The vibrating gyroscope includes, for example, a regular triangular prism-shaped vibrating body. Piezoelectric elements are respectively formed to the three side faces of the vibrating body. An oscillation circuit is connected between two piezoelectric elements and the other piezoelectric element. Two supporting members made of metal wire are mounted to vivinity of nodal points of the vibrating body in order to support the vibrating body. Both ends of the supporting members are fixed to a supporting board. A holding portion for holding a part of the vibrating body is formed on the supporting board. The holding portion is formed by a opening or a recess. The vibrating body together with an oscillation circuit and detection circuit can be mounted on the supporting board. The opening or the recess wherein a part of the vibrating body is held can have a extended portion to enlarge exposing portion of two side faces of the vibrating body.
