An imaging apparatus includes an electron emission array having electron sources arranged in matrix form and having a plurality of horizontal scan lines, a photoelectric conversion film opposed to the electron emission array, and a control and drive circuit configured to select one or more of the horizontal scan lines in a given video signal output period and to cause the electron sources included in the selected one or more horizontal scan lines to emit electrons toward the photoelectric conversion film to produce a video signal, wherein the control and drive circuit is configured to control electron emission of the electron emission array in a blanking period in response to a signal level of the video signal produced in the given video signal output period.

It is an object of the present invention to increase the rigidity of a seat surface portion, to which a seat for a suspension spring is attached, of a rear side member in a vehicle body rear part. A bumper beam assembly for a vehicle comprises a bumper beam having at least two round pipes, a bracket, first and second support members, first and second side frames, and a bracket formed into a rounded shape to match the external shape of the round pipes. The round pipes are arranged vertically and the sum of the diameters of the round pipes is smaller than the height of the bumper beam. The first and second support members have arc-shaped recesses which conform to the external shape of the round pipes and support the round pipes to connect the side frame to the round pipes, and one of the round pipes is positioned below a central point of the first and second side frames, and one of the round pipes is positioned above the central point.

There is provided a storage construction for a seat belt connecting member in a seat belt system in which a seat belt pulled out of a retractor provided on a vehicle body is pulled out in a slantwise downward direction via a sash guide mounted in a roof portion, a first connecting member mounted at the tip end of the seat belt is fixed to a first fixing member provided on the seat side, and a second connecting member provided in an intermediate portion of the seat belt is fixed to a second fixing member provided on the seat side, whereby a seat belt user is restrained by the seat belt set at three points. A connecting member attaching coveris provided in a sash guide attaching portion in the roof portion, and the connecting member attaching coveris provided with holding meansandfor holding the first and second connecting membersandseparately when the seat belt is not in use. Thereby, the seat belt connecting member can be stored without changing the seat belt system when the seat belt is not in use.
