A method for manufacturing a battery includes (a) laminating an insulating layer on a part of at least one surface of at least one first collector, (b) laminating at least one power-generating element in which an electrode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a counter-electrode active material layer are laminated in this order and the at least one first collector on which the insulating layer is laminated such that the electrode active material layer covers the insulating layer, (c) cutting, in a laminating direction at a position where the insulating layer is divided, the at least one first collector on which the at least one power-generating element are laminated, and (d), before or after cutting the at least one power-generating element in the cutting (c), laminating a second collector on a surface of the at least one power-generating element that is opposite to the at least one first collector.

Method for manufacturing battery

A battery includes a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, a negative electrode active material layer, a negative electrode current collector, and a sealing member. In plan view, the negative electrode active material layer is larger than the solid electrolyte layer. In plan view, each of the positive electrode current collector and the negative electrode current collector is larger than the negative electrode active material layer. In plan view, the sealing member is located outside the solid electrolyte layer. In cross-sectional view perpendicular to a laminating direction, the sealing member is disposed in a region sandwiched between a part of the positive electrode current collector and a part of the negative electrode active material layer and a region sandwiched between another part of the positive electrode current collector and a part of the negative electrode current collector.

Battery

A battery includes a first electrode, a first solid electrolyte layer in contact with the first electrode, a second electrode, and a second solid electrolyte layer located between the second electrode and the first solid electrolyte layer and in contact with the second electrode and the first solid electrolyte layer. An organic compound content of the first solid electrolyte layer is smaller than an organic compound content of the second solid electrolyte layer, and a thickness of the first solid electrolyte layer is smaller than a thickness of the second solid electrolyte layer.

A battery includes: a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer containing a solid electrolyte, a negative electrode active material layer, and a negative electrode current collector that are laminated in this order; and a sealing member. The battery has an opening hole penetrating the positive electrode current collector, the positive electrode active material layer, the solid electrolyte layer containing the solid electrolyte, the negative electrode active material layer, and the negative electrode current collector in a laminating direction and further includes a sealing member. In cross-sectional view perpendicular to the laminating direction, the sealing member is located between the opening hole and each of the positive electrode active material layer, the solid electrolyte layer, and the negative electrode active material layer.

Battery and laminated battery

A battery according to the present disclosure includes: a collector; an electrode layer in contact with the collector; a solid electrolyte layer containing a solid electrolyte; and a sealing layer containing a sealing material, and the collector has an annealing softening temperature lower than a glass transition temperature of the sealing material.

Battery and method for manufacturing the same

A battery according to the present disclosure includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a solid state electrolyte layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, the solid state electrolyte layer containing at least a solid state electrolyte and at least carbon atoms and including a carbon unevenly distributed layer. The concentration of the carbon atoms in the carbon unevenly distributed layer is higher than the concentration of the carbon atoms in a region of the solid state electrolyte layer excluding the carbon unevenly distributed layer.

Battery and production method for battery

A laminated battery includes a plurality of battery cells which are laminated and a current collecting lead. Each of the plurality of battery cells has a structure in which a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, a negative electrode active material layer, and a negative electrode current collector are laminated in this order. The plurality of battery cells include first and second battery cells adjacent to each other. The first battery cell has a surface that faces the second battery cell and includes an exposed surface not in contact with the second battery cell. At least part of the exposed surface does not overlap the second battery cell when viewed from a laminating direction of the battery cells. The current collecting lead is connected to the exposed surface.

Laminated battery

A battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte layer disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The electrolyte layer includes a first layer, a second layer, and a mixture layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The first layer includes a first solid electrolyte material. The second layer includes a second solid electrolyte material, the second solid electrolyte material being different from the first solid electrolyte material. The mixture layer includes the first solid electrolyte material and the second solid electrolyte material.

A laminated battery includes battery cells which are laminated and a current collecting lead. Each of the battery cells has a structure in which a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, a negative electrode active material layer, and a negative electrode current collector are laminated in this order. The battery cells include first and second battery cells adjacent to each other. At least the second battery cell has a side surface inclined with respect to a laminating direction of the battery cells. The first battery cell has a surface facing the second battery cell and including an exposed surface not in contact with the second battery cell. At least part of the exposed surface overlaps at least part of the side surface of the second battery cell viewed from the laminating direction. The current collecting lead is connected to the exposed surface.

The present disclosure provides a negative electrode material that can improve the charge-discharge efficiency of a battery. A negative electrode material includes a reduced form of a first solid electrolyte material and a conductive auxiliary. The first solid electrolyte material is denoted by Formula (1): LiMX. Herein, in Formula (1), each of α, β, and γ is a value greater than 0, M represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of metal elements except Li and semimetals, and X represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br, and I.

Negative electrode material and battery

The present disclosure provides a negative electrode material that can improve the cycle characteristics of a battery. The negative electrode material according to the present disclosure contains a reduced form of a solid electrolyte material. The solid electrolyte material is denoted by Formula (1): LiMX. Herein, in Formula (1), each of α, β, and γ is a value greater than 0, M represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of metal dements except Li and semimetals, and X represents at least one dement selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br, and I.

Negative electrode material, battery, and method for producing battery

A battery includes: a unit cell including an electrode layer, a counter electrode layer facing the electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer disposed between the electrode layer and the counter electrode layer; an electrode current collector in contact with the electrode layer; a counter electrode current collector in contact with the counter electrode layer; and a seal disposed between the electrode current collector and the counter electrode current collector. The unit cell is disposed between the electrode current collector and the counter electrode current collector. The seal includes at least one protrusion protruding toward the solid electrolyte layer, and at least part of the at least one protrusion is in contact with the solid electrolyte layer.

A battery includes an electricity-generating element that includes an electrode layer and a counter-electrode layer, an electrode current collector that is disposed in contact with the electrode layer, a counter-electrode current collector that is disposed in contact with the counter-electrode layer, and a first sealing section that includes a first portion and a second portion. In the battery, the first portion is positioned within an opposing region where the electrode current collector and the counter-electrode current collector oppose each other and is in contact with the electrode current collector and the counter-electrode current collector. In addition, the second portion is positioned outside the opposing region, and the second portion is positioned outside both an edge of the electrode current collector and an edge of the counter-electrode current collector.

A battery includes: a unit cell including an electrode layer, a counter electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer; an electrode current collector; an electrode current collector; a counter electrode current collector; and a seal disposed between the electrode current collector and the counter electrode current collector. The thickness of a first stack portion is larger than the thickness of a second stack portion. The first stack portion includes: a first sealing portion that is at least part of the seal; a part of the electrode current collector that overlaps the first sealing portion; and a part of the counter electrode current collector that overlaps the first sealing portion. The second stack portion includes: the unit cell; a part of the electrode current collector that overlaps the unit cell; and a part of the counter electrode current collector that overlaps the unit cell.

Battery and cell stack

A battery includes a unit cell, which includes an electrode layer and a counter electrode layer facing the electrode layer, an electrode current collector in contact with the electrode layer, a counter electrode current collector in contact with the counter electrode layer, and a seal between the electrode current collector and the counter electrode current collector. The unit cell is disposed between the electrode current collector and the counter electrode current collector. At least one selected from the group consisting of the electrode current collector and the counter electrode current collector has at least one recess facing the seal.
