The input device includes a device body connected to the host device, a fingerprint detecting portion provided in an upper surface of the device body and serving to detect the fingerprint of the user, and an opening portion for exposing the fingerprint detecting portion to the exterior.

An optical disk can be stored safely within a case during its use and the case can be folded to a smaller size of a depth size less than a diameter of the optical disk during its non-use. The bottom cover and the bottom slider are connected to each other in such a way that they may be extended or retracted, the top cover and the top slider attached to the bottom cover and the upper part of the bottom slider in such a way that they may be opened or closed are also connected in such a way that they may be extended or retracted, thereby there is provided a case in which the top cover may also be extended or retracted in respect to the top slider, the case is extended to form the disk storing space within the case.

A disc drive employing components including a recording disc, a read/write head, a head positioner, and an arm are mounted on a carriage member for recording data on the recording disc and reproducing recorded data from the recording disc. A cover member is secured to the carriage member to define a closed space in which the components are located by means of a resilient sealing member which provides resilient engagement with the carriage member and resilient engagement with the cover member without physically distorting the carriage member.

An auto-ejector incorporated in a disk recording and/or reproducing apparatus is driven by a disk driving motor and a head driving motor which are requisite for the apparatus. That is, the ejector is triggered under the power of the head driving motor, and a disk cartridge in which a disk is accommodated is ejected under the power of the disk driving motor. Thus, any device, such as an electromagnetic device, a motor or the like used only for the ejector is not needed.
