A glass bonding material contains vanadium and phosphor as main glass components, and comprises in amounts converted as oxides of the elements in the components, 45 to 60% by weight of VO, 15 to 30% by weight of PO, 5 to 25% by weight of BaO, or contains a glass comprising at least vanadium, phosphor, barium and antimony, wherein the glass comprises in amounts converted as oxides, 15 to 35% by weight of BaO and SbOin total, and a weight ratio of BaO/SbOor SbO/BaO is 0.3 or less.

Display apparatus

A sealing glass of a low melting point phosphate glass composition contains 15 to 35% of BaO and SbO(in total) and the ratio by weight of BaO to SbOor SbOto BaO is 0.3 or less. Particularly the transition metal is vanadium and the glass contains VOof 45 to 60 wt % as vanadium oxide and POof 15 to 30 wt % as phosphorus oxide. The bonding material is a mixture of a filler and a vanadate-phosphate glass that contains VOof 45 to 60%, POof 20 to 30%, BaO of 5 to 15%, TeOof 0 to 10%, SbOof 5 to 10%, and WOof 0 to 5%. The particle size of the filler is in the range of 1 to 150 &#x3bc;m and the ratio of filler is 80% by volume or less of the adhesive glass.

A conductive material comprising a VO&#x2014;POglass and a second phase dispersed in the VO&#x2014;POglass, wherein the second phase contains a crystalline V and O compound and a crystalline metal phosphate compound. The crystalline V and O compound is at least one of VO, VO, VO, and VO. The metal phosphate compound is a phosphate compound of transition metal or alkaline-earth metal. In a visual display device, glass spacers are bonded to glass panels with the conductive material.

To allow an image display device which includes a plurality of distance holding members (spacers) which are arranged in the inside of a display region to acquire a prolonged lifetime, high brightness and high reliability while preventing charging of the spacers, a conductive film is arranged on a bottom surface of the spacer and the conductive film is covered with an adhesive material.

Image display device and manufacturing method of the same

An image display device has a front substrate having an anode and phosphors, a rear substrate having electron sources and opposing the front substrate with a specified spacing therebetween, a support member which is sandwiched between the front and rear substrates, surrounds a display region, and maintains the specified spacing, and plural spacing-maintaining members which are sandwiched between the front and rear substrates in the display region, and are fixed at at least one of end faces of each of the spacing-maintaining members to a corresponding one of the front and rear substrates. Both end faces of the support member is hermetically sealed to the rear and front substrates, respectively. A height of the spacing-maintaining members is greater than that of the support member.

Image display device

An image display device includes a front substrate having anodes and phosphors, a rear substrate having plural video signal wirings or lines and plural electron sources each formed on a corresponding one of the video signal wirings or lines, and disposed to face the front substrate with a predetermined spacing between the front and rear substrates and a support member which is sandwiched between the front and rear substrates, surrounds a display area formed therebetween and maintains the predetermined spacing. The support member is includes long-side portions of a uniform width disposed on long sides of the front substrate and short-side portions of a uniform width disposed on short sides of the front substrate. At least the long-side portions are curved convexly toward an outside of the display area.

The present invention provides an image display device which can realize the recycling at a low cost by shortening a disassembling time of a face substrate and a back substrate. In a support frame which is bonded and fixed to a face substrate and a back substrate by way of sealing materials respectively, a cut portion whose spatial region expands from the inside to the outside is integrally formed on an end surface at a corner portion thereof. To outer portions of the cut portions, the sealing materialsare not fixed.
